You guys... I did it lol. Honestly I just didn't feel like the natural life was for me. I'm really happy with the decision I made to become relaxed again. This time around I really do want to properly take care of my hair. I'm looking forward to just how healthy and long my hair can become. Hope you enjoy ♥

I’m natural. It’s what I like. I’ve never understood why the natural community sometime is so harsh on women who relax their hair. I follow both relax and natural KZbinrs. It’s your hair girly do what works for you. Your hair turned out beautiful!

I agree ☝️ because when I was relaxed my hair stayed long and beautiful even when I would cut it it would grow back super long super fast. The main things that made me transition to natural is the fact that there’s a claim that relaxers create fibroids and other health concerns, I wanted to see if my hair could be more thicker and with the simple fact that natural hair is just so freakin GORGEOUS 😍😍

You are super stunning. The dimple is everything. I'm a former professional hairstylist, I think it is wise that you go to a true professional and allow them to cut your hair. Your hair looks like it could stand having about 1 inch taken off of the ends. You'll be surprised at how easily you'll be able to comb thru it. Just remember to condition your hair like crazy. Moisture is the hair's best friend. Good Luck with your new transition!! I have all the faith in you! Have a very blessed day!

Sometimes I wished I never went natural. Before cutting I had my hair in a nice routine , health and length was great. And I completely understand what she said simple styles like ponytails and detangling it requires soooooo much work. Y’all really have me thinking hard on this

There's nothing wrong with relaxers as long as you go to a professional who does it right and you take care of your hair. I haven't had a relaxer touch my hair since 2008, so I can relate to the struggles of natural hair. In my case I did a big chop 😁 I was and still am tempted to relax my hair again. There are a couple of things that I will say about this video: 1. You should never use regular scissors for cutting your hair. Go to the beauty supply store and get shears. They are specially designed for cutting your hair. 2. When doing a relaxer, do the roots last. Your roots are closer to your scalp and are more warm then the ends leading to over processing. That should be the last area you do. Also becareful of putting relaxer on ends that have already been relaxed. You run the risk of over processing which leads to breakage. If you feel like you absolutely have to, I'd suggest using a mild relaxer for only a few minutes...less then 10. Provided you are doing your hair at home. Even so, it's only a suggestion, I don't recommend it. If anything at all look for a reputable stylist with a good track record of doing relaxers the right way. Use Oleplex to rebuild the bonds that were broken when you straighten your hair. Like I said, relaxers aren't bad, it's the technique and after care that causes the problems you hear about. I'm a cosmotogist, so this isn't coming from lack of experience. Other then that, your hair looks beautiful. 😁

That’s why I like beautiful textures. Their texture manageability system gives me the relaxed hair without permanent straightening. My hair has been relaxed for years. healthy and long. But I’ve learned that those blow dryers and flat irons dry my hair, make it brittle. So I’ve learned to stick to roller sets with large rollers and let it air dry at home or sit under a hood dryer. Then put it in a doobie at night. 😊

Don't know why this was in my recommendations, but I'm not mad, lol. I am natural, and love being natural. But as you can see from my profile, I am color-treated, and that is a bit shunned in the "natural hair community" and we are no longer seen as truly natural, blah blah blah. Anyway, its fun being color-treated and hair is meant to be fun. Its your crown, your hair, so do with it as you please. If later down the years you chose to be natural again, then that's your choice. No one else can make it for you.It is crazy how people really be sitting here pressed trying to tell other people what to do with their hair. All the girls that told me not to color my hair because it will get damaged and ruin my curl pattern, I know they mad. They see me all the time at work, and they still see how healthy and shiny my hair is, and I know they are questioning what went wrong for them when they colored their natural hair, and why it isn't turning out the same way for me. How you care for your hair, matters. What works for you, matters. So do you boo, lol. This was weirdly so relaxing to watch until you pulled out the scissors, and I had to pause, cause I was like "Please don't let her become scissor happy to her own self." Lol.

Girl I feel you. My name's Ashley too and we got the same type of hair. I love my hair but it takes so much work to make it look "presentable". The styles I like are damaging and the protective styles that dont take forever make me look like I'm 12. Ive been considering for years a perm or texlax. IDK. My scalp is too tender to keep all this thicc hair sometimes.

I've found myself falling down the rabbit hole of "natural hair" KZbin gorgeous. I can't get out. I don't think I want to. 😄 Second to getting my hair done, it's weirdly satisfying watching someone else getting their hair done. Especially washed, brushed or straightened.

Me personally i think its better to have natural hair because if u dont look after relaxed hair properly it will start to get thin and break off and u will be forced to go back natural

A tip, when I trim my hair, I trim it section by section just like I do when I flat iron my hair. I’m not considering getting a relaxer but being stuck in the house with a 6 week old and not really being able to do my hair has me going crazy cause it’s a hot mess, I need these hair stores to open so I can get braids 😩😩. Also your hair came out nice, and if relaxing your hair is what works for you, that’s all that matters. Right now I’m trying to limit heat to get my hair to grow but my hair isn’t doing well so the only way for me to accomplish that is to start getting braids more frequent.
@AllAboutAshh
@AllAboutAshh 4 жыл бұрын
Oh okay that’s a good tip! I think when I feel comfortable going to the salon I’m just going to let a professional trim my ends 😂 & honestly when I was natural braids and sew ins made my hair grow sooo much, so I would definitely recommend braiding hour hair up

I’m thinking about texlaxing again. I had one about 3 years ago and my hair took off and grew so well. But then I wanted something new and cut it all off and wore it short. My natural hair grew out beautifully the first 8 ish months and made it to shoulder/collar bone length but then my hair started getting brittle, breaking off, shedding really bad, horrible single strand knots and not taking heat at all. Think I might have to go back for my 1st year of college and switch it up again
