The only thing I would caution is not too relax too often and do not let it sit longer than needed. I relax and have for over 20 years but the knowledge that I have now makes me cringe in regards to what I used to do. I do not know if there is a correlation between relaxers and fibroids but I had the latter but I also did the worst. Relaxed every 4 weeks let it sit until it burnt. The manufacturers tell you how long it should stay, burning is not the indicator of it being processed. I now have a dermatologist and a trichologist and my hair is finally healthy! I relax twice a year. You are young and have access to a lot more info than I did. Do what you want for you just be intentional and informed. I am mid-back now and my wash day is 5 hours as I deep condition, roller set and hood dry every wash day!

Oh, it just hair and you are only 21. I cut my hair when I was 18, at 21, at 35 and at 42. I may have another urge when I in my 50s. Lol .Have fun with yourself.

Yes. She had to leave the relaxer on for a little over 20 min because she said my hair was thick so it was taking longer to process, even though I blowed dried it before hand to make it easier for her.
