Sorry for the occasional wind noise in this video- Manchester has some of the highest suddent wind gusts in England! In fact, I went through several umbrellas that broke while making this video. I ended up using a 'Fulton Cyclone' umbrella that withstands wind up to about 80mph! It almost lifted me off the ground & made filming quite difficult but the umbrella didn't break! :))

I am watching this video to Gerry̲ M̲u̲l̲l̲i̲g̲a̲n's smooth jazz. It is so relaxing - fits so well. Amazing camera work btw and just perfect brightness of light and wet road reflection.

Glad you escaped. I must say after 7 years in manchester it was a relief to escape the constant classism that I faced on a daily basis there for having a southern accent :/ shame as I miss the place but the people made it impossible to live

@@NostalgicAtmosphere Thanks for your reply. I sort of know what you mean, comments on your Southern accent. They unfortunately don't know any/much better, They somehow think/believe,they are making the first !! original comment on your Southern accent ( I understand the whole thing must have got Boring/Tiresome, for you. anyway, Peace to all.

It was incredibly exhausting and frustrating to constantly be treated poorly and gossiped about simply because they assumed I was "posh," had a "trust fund," or that everything in life had been handed to me - all because of my southern accent. Meanwhile, they were benefiting from more support and privilege than I had. It’s exhausting being isolated, with no one willing to give you a chance to get to know you because they’ve already decided they "know your type." They judged me without knowing anything beyond the way I spoke. I wasn’t just feeling under threat; I was bullied, threatened, and became the victim of crime countless times. Even when I called the police, they refused to help, telling me to “go back to where you came from,” a phrase I heard over and over. It’s outright discrimination. The only time in my 7 years living there that someone from Manchester actually liked me was after being forced to spend time with me because we lived together. She said, “Wow, you’re nothing like I thought - you’re actually one of the nicest people I’ve ever known.” But after she left, it went right back to the same abuse from everyone else, and it felt impossible to break through the discrimination everywhere. All my friends were foreign or from other places because Mancunians wouldn’t give me the time of day. It wears you down and makes you afraid to even go outside when you're constantly under threat, judged, and hated by everyone you meet. Even coffee shop and store staff give you angry looks the moment they hear your voice. I had to stay quiet everywhere I go just to avoid hostility & stay safe but it was debilitating. It felt like I couldn’t live- it was a huge relief when I left & I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
