thanks for this, sitting in a cafe trying to do some work and a guy with his 4 year old came in with a fire truck, siren and all flying around on the floor. Seen him before here. Its an obvious I have the kid on Sundays kinda dad thing. Got my noise cancelation headsets on (would really recommend goji headsets - ear buds, works great in planes and trains), turned the rain way up and boy it feels a lot better. I associate these sounds with negative ions and that helps me to relax and focus on peacefulness. When near a fountain or a waterfall we are exposed to falling water which generates negative ions. They have been shown to have a positive effect on people's moods. I'm a believer.
