This is maybe silly to share on a KZbin video but I’m working toward my dream job of becoming a realtor, and I’ve known for almost a year now I’m using part of my first commission check to buy a Jord watch! Something about them makes me think it’d be perfect as a sentiment to my first sale. I was always thinking I’d want the cassia model but the new ones they just released for women are seriously so beautiful I might have changed my mind. It’ll be on my wrist hopefully before summer 2020!

I actually really like that. Ebony is such a unique wood. If you didn’t tell someone who didn’t know, they wouldn’t even think it’s wood.

It's true, the fine grain makes it easy to mistake for matte black steel or something similar. I personally like that aesthetic, but for those who prefer a more obviously wooden watch, Jord has lots of options with lighter colours and more visible grain.

I believe that sapphire and glass are 2 completely different substances so saying sapphire crystal glass is not really possible unless you are apple and have fake sapphire crystal glass on their camera less but is no harder then just normal glass.

3 atm means it's water pressure resistant up to 3 atmospheric pressures, which is about 100 feet. After that, the face will crack.

You're not wrong! $300 is a decent chunk of cash. But as I mention in the video, mechanical wrist watches tend to command a premium price due to their intricate designs, and in this case, use of exotic materials. If you just want a thing on your wrist that tells the time, there are WAY cheaper (and frankly, more accurate) options. Instead, think of a mechanical watch more like a piece of jewelry. It's a fashion statement, and a piece of art, and an intricate piece of engineering with a rich history all rolled into one. It's definitely a luxury item, and it's not for everybody, and I totally understand not seeing the value in it, or preferring to spend that money elsewhere. But for people who do value this kind of thing and are into collecting mechanical wrist watches, $300 is fairly reasonable for a good-looking, good-quality wristwatch.

Dude this video is too zoomed in, and I think your camera struggles to focus on your hands and the watch! Normally I just listen and fall asleep but still, perhaps an bird's eye view would be more appropriate for this review

Thanks for the feedback Edward! I wanted to get the watch up-close to the camera in order to show off all the intricate details. I believe the camera can focus quite capably at those distances, but I think what I can improve on next time is changing my aperture settings to get a larger depth of field. The DOF in this video came out very shallow, which means a lot of the details are out of focus even up-close. I'll try to improve on that next time!
