I watched clannad and afterstory 10 years ago, the summer before I started college. I made some good friends that summer, and I stumbled upon this story and binged it in a few days. It changed my life, I felt like I’d never be the same again after watching it, and 10 years later I think that was true. I’ve rewatched it a few times since then, and it’s my favorite show ever. This music sends me right back to that summer, those feelings, that comfort and that sadness. And it’s amazing

in 2011 I watched it when I was in my junior year of high school it did the same thing to me it changed my life I told one of my best friends to go watch it he binge watched it he ended up loving it and especially the music Iafter he watched it recommend another anime the same people who make clarinet the same people who make Clannad Kanon 2006 he fell in love with the other anime I recommended in 2014 he ended up passing awaythe day he passed away I was in denial I thought it was a sick joke and then I'm talking to another friend he confirmed that he passed away I met him in 2006 in the sixth grade Middle School we graduated high school the class of 2013 it's too painful to watch it reminds me of himI always go back to this music Kanon 2006 OST - The Day When I Waited For The Wind I miss him so badly....

First time I watched Clannad it was in early 2008. I remember I was not into anime, but I joined the Japanese culture club just because I like model kits. I was kind of on-and-off in terms of the activities, and one day some of my friends are doing Clannad watchalong. I decided to join because why not? Long story short it was the first time I properly cried watching an anime, and that was just on the first arc (Fuuko's arc). But more importantly, it was the first time ever I felt like I have a place where I truly belong, where I can show my true self without being kicked around, having experienced bullying during my entire elementary school and middle school years. From that point onward, those few friends are still around with me one way or another, but now I regard them as my 'other' family. We still check up on each others despite having been separated for years (though I believe at least 4 or 5 of them still lives in my hometown).

I'm right there with you. Exactly how it is for me. The music from this show must have been written in a way to invoke feelings of attachment because I immediately flash back to the first time watching it, and crying over an anime...well besides Vegeta's Atonement scene in DBZ, but yea..this one was something else.

I remember I was introduced to Clannad by my cousin. It was November 2023 and my younger brother and I were at his house and we had nothing to do, so he decided to show us some anime. He asked what genre of anime we wanted to see, and I was thinking about this one girl from my past (not a girlfriend, more of a friend who I liked) who decided to cut herself off from me and a group of friends due to her mental health. I was thinking about her, so I told him I wanted to watch a romance anime. He showed us 2: SNAFU and Clannad. We watched the first episode of each, and he asked which one me and my brother prefered. My brother told him he liked SNAFU more, but something about Clannad was so beautiful and mysterious, and I could see a bit of myself in Tomoya. When me and my brother went home, it was business as usual. We got on with our lives, and a few weeks later, we were at our cousin's house again. My brother told my cousin that he finished SNAFU (he was a bit more of a weeb then I was, so he binged watched the whole thing), while I only watched half of the first season (I stopped after Fuko's arc). Come March 2024, and I was still a bit depressed, winter was long and dark, and I had some spare time on my hands. So I decided to finish Clannad once and for all. I ended up watching the whole thing during March/April time. My favourite arc was Kotomi's, and she has remained best girl ever since. I remember reaching the ending of Clannad, watching how emotional it was, developing an emotion I had rarely felt before. It was an extremely powerful anime, and now looking back on it, the only way I was able to find out about this anime is if I had not been so pained and hurt during November. Overall this anime has become my favourite, and is the one anime that had the biggest impact on me. I don't plan to rewatch Clannad any time soon, just because I want the memory of the last time I saw it to be clear in my head. Looking back on it, Clannad helped me explore myself, and to see life in a different light. Life is still ahead of us, we have time to be hopeful.

Its been some 10 years since first watching clannad. Watching it blind as a young teen, it messed me up for years. I suppose me being here shows I'm still not quite over it. I can't say I regret anything though. Truth be told, I have little things in life as precious as this anime, sad as that may be. This video helps me think back to simpler times. Glad to see clannad has not been forgotten just yet.

personally, as someone who doesn't cry much to tv shows or anime, I can and can't relate, most of the songs are kind of happy, but give me this nastolgic feeling (even though I finished the anime yesterday LOL) but songs like nagisa, or tiny palm of hand, really kind of make me sad, like I'll miss the anime, like it was apart of me or something, either way, I'm not the crying type of guy, or the depressed either, I just get a little sad to certain songs, thats as bad as it gets really

There's something wrong with me, I have love, but I cannot accept it; This is my fear, Good grades, Goal accomplished, good body, good friends... But my not manifestation of love hurts me a lot. I don't know how to interact with people on a deeper level...

My body is healthy as I trained two times per week since January; My first and only passion, voice acting, nothing could be better. I'm still studying, and I achieved so many goals this academic year... As for school, I got really good marks! But I still feel trapped somehow. Maybe I should just let it go and let it be; I got overwhelmed with my thoughts for so many things at the same time. There is a song from Clannad that sounds like Roaring Tides but with only choir and sung in the most beautiful way.
