Yeah, I made an ultimate character with a backstory from birth to Skyrim, exploring every quest and cave in the game. Then thinking the game was a bit limited in its scope. Then reimagined what the game would be like if a true-blood Dragonborn of the illegitimate Septim line returned to Cyrodiil, sparking a new just cause in the civil war on the side of the Stormcloaks, and causing a succession crisis. The dragonborn crushed armies before her with her voice, ascending the throne, renamed Empress Alessia II Dragon of the North. Reuniting the empire, kicking out the agents of the Aldmeri Dominion, reinstating the worship of Talos, and preparing for a new great war against the Dominion. After making a character for myself like that I couldn't really make another.

Skyrim was my magnum opus of gaming. It wasn't perfect by any means, but that very first playthrough was arguably the closest I've ever come to feeling true magic in video gaming. The mystery of exploration, the sheer size of the map (for its time, at least), the seemingly never-ending stream of things to do, the awe-inspiring legendary feeling of running around slaying dragons and coming into your title of Dragonborn... There has never since been a game that has made me feel the way Skyrim did and I don't think there ever truly will be.
