Your work is really good. This is the first photography walk ive seen on youtube that isnt just random snapshots of people crossing zebrawalks with umbrellas, but I can see the composition and thought in every image. The only ones I didnt like were the up close of concrete at the museum island, but apart from that there were so many banger shots! The 4 yellow trams/busses, the man taking a photo at museu island framed by a pillar, the old lady reading something in the foreground and the young man looking upwards in the background etc etc etc. Good job!

Always a risk taking photos of people in Germany - a lot of them are aware of the 'rules'. I had to do my best to look like a tourist!

It’s really lovely the light you get in May plus everything is green. I wanted to do same in Munich but it was just raining non stop🙈

such a great video to stumble upon. I'll be in Berlin in 5 weeks, gives me some ideas to try while I'm there. wonderfully edited for a street POV as well, nicely done.

Not going to lie I've never really paid that much attention to concrete but It was pretty cool. I love how I would sometimes see what I thought would be a good shot in the video and then you proceeded to post a picture of them, clearly you have a great eye. Also, the music you've included is so soothing. I think for me my favourite shot was the flats reflection in the car windscreens.

Nicely done, Berlin can be surprisingly challenging to do street photography, but you definitely got some keepers

this whole video was beautifully edited and really satisfying to watch, and the shots were even better. do you use manual or autofocus for street photography?
@po.ntandshoot Жыл бұрын
Appreciate the comment - that's kind. I usually use single point autofocus, set on continuous tracking for moving subjects.

You just used the standard classic chrome film sim? Any other settings? Love the tones!

Yes, pretty much! Classic chrome is my go-to + a few lightroom tweaks to levels/contrast.

Hi, great shots. Did yo use a filter? Some of the photos look like you have used a black mist filter.
@po.ntandshoot Жыл бұрын
Sharp, sharp eye, you even reminded me! I was borrowing my brother in law's black mist filter on the 35mm (a handful of the photos). Most were taken on the 23mm, however.

GREAT work man. One question: Do you scout for spots before or do you just go for where it leads you?

Great shots! Also in Berlin now and finding it very hard to do street photography here, the Germans hate cameras haha. Have you found any tips for defusing situations if someone glares at you or makes some type of gesture/comment?
@po.ntandshoot3 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for watching - appreciate it. Germany is definitely one of the harder countries for street photography. My only way is to smile and push the tourist agenda - 'I'm just in a good mood, checking out your city'. When they have told me to not take photos I always try to talk with them shortly.

Why do you use a XPro3 if you mostly shoot with your LCD-screen?
@po.ntandshoot7 ай бұрын
Hi! For the sake of the POV, I used the LCD more so that the viewer can see a bit more. This actually led to the LCD breaking, and I had to send it in to Fuji for a repair...a real fault with the camera!
