I wanted to have a nice sturdy tent under those beautiful trees drinking my coffee and listening to the creaking branches and sound when a big tree is bending against the wind, it sounds like an old rocking chair on the porch. And of course I want to stand in the wind and let it blow my hair to smithereens and feel the coolness on my skin. I want to feel the wind try to push me over too! Magical. Always been the extreme weather girl🌴🌴🌴🌴

In 96 I worked in Portland Oregon with a group of Canadian phone techs restoring service from storm damage. I got to go to the coast a few times and the wind at night was crazy. I had worked 42 days straight and had taken off a weekend and when I got to my hotel room I sat on the bed for a minute listening to the wind blowing very strongly. I woke up the next morning still in my clothes and boots. No better sleeping pill. And Oregon is beautiful.

City might offer some conveniences, but hell, I wouldnt give up living in the country backwoods for anything... All conveniences are is entrapments that make you dependent, lazy etc... such as "hell, Ill just crank up the thermostat" instead of "hey, Ill go chop some wood for the storm coming later this week"... And when out chopping wood, the smell of cedar and pines... If your a city boy, you need to do all in your power to relocate to the country, otherwise, years later when its all to late, youll regret it...

Rain falls, wind blows and thunder strikes. All of which you have no control over. Fire is the hardest to get right, because it's a continuous process. You've got to keep adding tinder, and what you decide to burn and in what quantities decides how the sound will output. Earth sounds are generally beyond organic human hearing, and even with the power of the Internet you still won't find one video that successfully captures an organic and relatively harmless landslide occurring over minutes let alone hours. This leaves the fifth element, the sound of the Void. Silence has a sound. This is it. And you can't find this anywhere except in yourself.

Simple but perfectly chosen words with which to describe one of mother natures many beautiful offerings and one of the four elements which we as humans need to survive, Earth, Wind, Fire and Water and we are the Fifth Element to that equation and sadly we have abused those gifts to a point of near exhaustion, but still mother nature can still be very beautiful when she is angry.

Hearing the wind like that.....we are tapping into the very chaos that precipitates the motion of time and the propagation of energy through the universe. Cosmic forces sway those trees and when we capture the world like this it is a brief snapshot of the ever-unfolding chasm of eternity. Oh what a joy to observe for but a fraction of a moment the wind in these trees, like a leaf in a stream passing by ever so quickly, ephemeral and random in nature but so full of force. The mournful wailing of mother nature conjures images of spirits in the air around us, encircling our planet like a force field, swaying and ebbing and flowing, soothing and tormenting us, all the while unaware of our presence and persisted on in its treatise by what entities conveyed the motion of time in the beginning. Oh what a joy.
