TehSohail316 When birds are fearful or stressed they generally stay still and quiet unless you are directly trying to handle them. She was in a new place, etc and was just standing on her perch as still and quiet as could be so as not to draw attention to herself. As soon as I started to play this, she heard the chatter etc of her own kind and she immediately started hopping around her new cage, chirping in response, etc.

My lovebird was really happy when I played this for him. He doesn't have any buddies since one died and the other flew away. He is unable to fly and the only company he gets is a little mirror in his cage that he is always sitting by and looking at. He kept answering the birds in the video, it was so cute.

I got my 1st lovebird when he was 10 years old and he had never been out of his cage he was very aggressive. it took awhile but the work paid off before he passed away we were best friends

I don't want to sound too nerdy but I was using a squeaking magic marker and the birds ( parrotlet and lovebird) were answering so I thought "I wonder what is on youtube?". And I found this and they loved it, answering back and fourth. They are very social birds and lonely for a "flock". Cockatoo also fascinated. Thank you for this. I wonder what would happen if I recorded "squeaking magic marker"?

She was hand raised which is why she is by herself, instead of bonding to another bird she bonded to me and that's what I wanted. She is still a baby, will be a year Feb 27

Hi all. Just a quick note that you should always try to 'pair' lovebirds. They do mate for life and they do get very lonely without a best friend or mate. They also make the sweetest little chitters back and forth as they nap. Try to get two. Peace.

+Trafalgar Law Sorry about your lovebird. :( You can not just put another lovebird or even another kind of bird in the cage of the bird you already have they are very territorial and will kill the other bird. You should talk to someone that actually knows about these birds before doing such a thing please!

+Trafalgar Law hi - I am no expert and there's probably lots if you look online. I thing it's best to gently introduce your bird to a new mate. He or she can be heartbroken (like, could have ill health) from the loss of their mate - that I did learn from my vet. All the best to you.

Well no because you love bird will think there are other lovebirds and he/her will be sad when he/her realizes there aren't but a few minutes a day is fine. But i've now realized if you are not home for a few hours, turning on a radio would be great for you love bird. Some times if you play this too much for your lovbird he might love the bird noises more then you for a while. Hope this helped!
