WOW !!! Got clear footage of a young Wilma Rudolph running 3rd leg in lane 1 for the USA.

Cuthbert had an afterburner stride....she used it twice, seemingly throwing in a couple of extra high knee lifts...once after receiving the baton...and a kick close to the line as the Brit challenged her...impressive!

Betty Cuthbert was only 16 at the time , and yet she competed against bigger stronger athletes. The difference was she was determined to get to finish line first with flat out speed, strength and determination.

its all about strength to weight. she clearly had the advantage by the evidence that she won the individual sprints. she didnt have more determination than others.

Betty peaked as a 100-200 meter sprinter in her teens. Then, when her raw speed waned, and after a brief retirement, she switched to the 400.
