Steer clear of Relay. If you plan on making a deposit, be prepared to jump through lots of hoops. I've never known a bank that does all they can to discourage making a deposit. You heard right. They place limits on how much you can deposit. You have to get approval to deposit more. Asinine.

How much were you trying to deposit? I haven't had any problems with this so far... but maybe it's my business type.

$4k the first time. $8k the second. I just opened an account at another bank. I deposited $9,250. They gladly accepted it. Relay has a $5k daily limit on deposits and $20k daily limit on withdrawals. How does that make sense? I don't understand the limits.

They gave me a $2500 deposit limit. I asked and they upped it to 5K. Doing land deals I get a lot of checks over 5K. They want more bank statements and financial history to go higher. My other banks let me do up to 30K or 50K daily mobile phone check deposits. These guys fees are lower! If you have a check over their mobile phone limit you can't mail it in and there are no branches to go to either. I should stop accepting larger checks I guess if I am using this account for my business.

Oh yikes. Thanks for letting me know. How long has your account been open? I wonder what other info they would need to increase those limits? Maybe their customer service could help iron that out. I have to imagine there's a way to get those numbers higher because that just wouldn't work for most serious businesses long-term.

Hello, I can't create the account because it asks me for a real address in the United States. The po box or agent registration doesn't work.

its funny how you said you need social for ein which you're not going to have if you're not a US citizen but I just saw a credit video with a "migrant" thanking the guy for his videos helping him get and finish paying off two i think business vehicles with ITIN which somehow opened doors for him getting a EIn soon and business loans So its a way these days. It's like a new day

Thread Bank is their partner www.thread.bank - as for how Relay makes money, they do have an optional ‘Pro’ account you can pay for, but aside from that, I’m honestly not sure how they do it.
