The truth is that Nigerian State is marginalizing that particular tribe, and it's better to let them go their separate ways to avoid further issues. The same government granted amnesty to the deadly Boko Haram/ISWAP groups alongside the Odduduwa agitators, but still hold on to punish a man from the southeast. It's really unfair. They should let the Igbo people go and form their own nation instead of unwarranted inhuman treatment and oppression. Nigeria is shared between the North and West, while the Igbos and other minority tribes (both in the north and south) are playing the second class role. Too bad. But there is always an end to any kind of oppression. It is either they are eliminated from Nigeria or everyone would sink together one day. Only time will tell. Those who are rejoicing today that Igbos and minorities are being oppressed should be reminded that nothing last forever. The evil seed that are being sowed today, if not reaped by this generation, the unborn generations shall pay the supreme price.

If you were the one taken to court, tried and declared not guilty by the court, will you be comfortable waiting for ANY LENGTH OF TIME it takes your appelants to charge you to a higher court? There are processes and procedures in law. To repatriate a citizen from another country to Nigeria to come and face criminal charges, he must be arrested and taken to court in that foreign country. There, the court will want to know if there is a legal basis for his repatriation, to know if he will be given a fair hearing and that he will not be subjected to acts of torture where they are taking him to. The Nigerian government did not follow that process. Kanu was abducted/kidnapped and brought to Nigeria. On that basis, the courts have ruled that he be taken back to Kenya where he was kidnapped. Now, what is Kanu's crime compared to the bandits? Why are there no bandits in prison? Foreign investors will not come to our country because of insecurity created by the bandits. Many farmers have been killed and many have stopped going to farm because of insecurity. The country is shutting down, all thanks to the bandits, yet the government will rather hold Kanu than go after the terrorists nicknamed bandits.
