It’s actually crazy how much of a douche Shawn was back then yet he was still professional enough to never seriously hurt his opponents in the ring no matter how much he hated them like Bret. Closest I can think of that goes against this notion is being frustrated at Vader but that was closer to a slap on the wrist than intentionally trying to give someone a concussion.

Someone brought up a quote Cody Rhodes gave about Gulak 7 years ago that I think bares repeating here. "There is a wrestler by the name of Drew Gulak, and I’m going to go ahead and tell you I think he sucks. He does a grizzled old vet routine, he hasn’t done anything or made any money anywhere, and he shouldn’t be doing that routine. He looked at me from his table, and frustrated and jealous, because there were people in line at my table - hell they might have been in line just for the pizza - says to me, ‘So that’s what you need to get over’, and he walks away in a total huff and temper tantrum. “Since then that guy is on my list. 100%. I will regularly text Ethan Page just to tell him how much I think Drew Gulak sucks.”

Don't get too down on the crown and sceptre. I think Macho King was a standout in Randy's career. King Bookah was maybe the best character work Booker T ever did. Owen as The King of Harts and then The Slammy Award Winning King of Harts was brilliant stuff. The right worker can make King of The Ring win incredible for their character.

Sucks to hear about this as Gulak was honestly a favorite of mine, but if the allegations are true, then he can screw off. Also, unfortunately, this isn't the first time a wrestler with the last name of Gulak has been accused of stuff. (I'm not gonna post it here, but his brother Rory was even worse; look up what came out about him back in 2020)

The Gulak situation still sounds off. He's been with the company for years and years with absolutely no reports of bullying or targeting injuries. Ronda situation happens, people are up in arms over the sudden release of Gulak. NOW there's suddenly reports of bad conduct that's never happened or mentioned previously. Hmm. 🤔

He was likely seen as a valuable asset within the company, and it could have been covered up. We know that he was there under Vince McMahon, we know the environment that he kept. I'm not disputing what you said, simply just giving another possibility. We know that throughout WWE's history, women have had trouble speaking up within the system, as well as young men who he would have been working with. Gulak had a position of power (Producer, well connected), of course younger talent would feel too intimidated to speak up. Things far worse have been covered up for far longer (Bill DeMott, VINCE MCMAHON!!!), so it's not hard to imagine that "smaller" incidents have been covered to keep that culture that Vince liked to keep. Remember, they would have started investigating once Ronda spoke-up, and it's been a few days. Of course we're now getting information about it. That's how investigations work. It's how allegations work! An allegation was made, information was found, action was taken. What more do you want!? You may not like Ronda, and she probably doesn't like you either, but she was right to call this out. The culture should and will change, and it's time we come to terms with the fact that we are ignorant to some messed up shit and should be encouraging positive change where vulnerable people are not being taken advantage of when they are just trying to pay their bills and feed their families.

Hearing the Gulak "bullying" accusations & what I don't get is, if Gulak was bullying as well as targeting injuries, then why would WWE choose to wait & not renew his contract? I also find the timing interesting as well since Fightful decided to mention this now when Hunter called them out by saying that they were wrong about Gulak being released.

They probably launched an investigation after Rousey's claims and discovered the bullying accusations during that investigation. And if his contract was up soon, maybe it just made the most sense to suspend him and wait for the contract to run out?
