Thank you Julie. I am 53 years old & been self sabotaging myself for 20 years. I have various health problems & lots of injuries & surgeries cause me daily pains. I've used this as a reason to check out of the work force. I struggle when I have worked with relationships too & this has become a mental health issue, causing anxiety & a fear of returning to a job with others. As a result I have taken several cases to become qualified in areas of interest. So I can work for myself. However the fear of failure I suppose & still depending on others for my success make me self sabotage so I never finish a course or I finish but never do anything with the qualification. I also self harm q little as a result of being upset with myself for doing this. As a way of dealing with my guilt. Nothing too serious just plucking hairs but I do leave a mess. I had tapping sessions with an amazing therapist. Unfortunately she became ill & stopped her practice. Since then I tend to only tap when I am upset or stressing. I have known I could tap to change my opinion of a food however I have chosen to say I don't have q problem with binging on that food so why would I want to dislike it. This is also in part because I have always loved most foods & had q good varied diet. So exclusions seem crazy. In recent years I have also become intolerant of many foods suffering with damp re TCM. Inflammation, bowel issues & respiratory problems. The most recent of which is sleep apnoea. I decided to look for a video on self sabotage because I have been aware I am the problem & it's my subconscious mind that puts up road blocks to prevent me from moving forward, becoming self employed & enjoying life. Hopefully instructing Yoga or some form of exercise to aid health & well being. Although I had to change a few words for this to fit my circumstance it hit the spot. I am very grateful for this video. I will keep practicing until I am sure these behaviours are all sorted. I know the power of tapping. I call my therapist my Angel as she & my acupuncturist saw me through some mu h darker times & helped me return to being a happy person. I know tge tapping therapist could have sorted this for me had she been able to carry on. Having people like yourself making free videos makes tapping available to so many. It gives us a chance to recover. Thankyou.

Great insight! While tapping, it popped up inn my head that my dad, who was an abusive alcoholic, would make promises to stop drinking, stop hitting me, and that everything would get better. Not only did he not keep his promises... he bankrupted, we were homeless, then I watched him die at about a quarter to nine and he was buried on my 11th birthday. I had to practically raise myself. Now I know what this is about and had a great emotional release. Thank you, Julie.

I m a PhD scholar and the evaluation process is going on for more than twenty months. I feel frustrated with red-tapism and bottlenecks. I followed up the concerned people, by they keep on lingering matters, and don't give a shit to time, effort, the pain of PhD students. This video relieves some stress. Plz also upload more videos in this regard.

Im self sabotaging with singing. I take lessons got really good in it, but when I sing in my band I feel like 12 years again and Vant stand stable because I'm so afraid to use my voice in it's whole spectrum. Sometimes when I don't think about it it disappears, but can't control it and it's super frustrating😐.

I've just found you and I love your videos thank you so much, it's as if you made them for me they are so specific to how I feel. I'm ready to release self-sabotage with alcohol. Is it helpful if, when saying the statements, I add in specific reference to alcohol where appropriate? I'm going to do this video daily, along with your 'love myself' and 'I am good enough' tapping. Would daily for three months be effective? I will give it a go anyway but would love to know what you think. Thank you again!

I am so happy you found these videos helpful! Yes, tap daily on anything that feels stressful for you and of course change the words to suit you and your needs. Also, type julie schiffman cravings in the search bar. I have videos on another platform (Dr. Mercola) and there is one for cravings (insert alcohol where applied). I have hundreds of videos in all, so find the ones that are best for you. Set a goal for 3 months, I can pretty much guarantee you will use tapping the rest of your life now that you have experienced the benefits :) Good work and keep tapping!

Omg this showed up for me this morning when I’m really trying to work on self sabotaging. All the things said really resonated. Perhaps not so much the blaming others I know it all comes back to me and my choices. What are you tapping lower in the body? I can only see face and chest on the screen. How often should I do this to start to feel change? 🙏🙏🙏

Hi Julie, my acupuncturist gave me your name and had me watch your video on anxiety. I like the anxiety video however it’s from 6 or 7 yrs ago and I felt like you went a little fast and I couldn’t keep up. I was wondering if you could do another one for anxiety and I was also wondering if you could do one for trichotillomania or “hair pulling”? I have struggled with this for 27 yrs off and on and I literally cannot take it anymore! I feel like it’s controlling my life and has sucked the happiness out of my life and I feel like I am constantly crying and screaming in my head for help and nobody can hear me, not even God! I have tried literally EVERYTHING for this stupid “symptom” that’s what I call it because I refuse to believe it’s a disorder, when I strongly believe that it’s a symptom from ptsd. Anyhow, can you PLEASE try and HELP me???
@Julieschiffman
@Julieschiffman 4 жыл бұрын
I actually have a few different videos addressing anxiety. Here is the newest one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKLKk2WXYrOaq7c I do not have a video specifically for hair pulling at this time. I am sure it is so frustrating and challenging all at the same time. I highly suggest working with someone one on one who can help you address ptsd. That needs to be done specific to your needs. Hope this helps :)

Julie Schiffman thank you for the link and commenting back. I have been working one on one with a counselor for about 3 1/2 yrs now on my ptsd through EMDR, talk therapy, DBT, CBT, many mindfulness techniques and many other things but nothing seems to be helping with the pulling 😟. I’ve tried literally everything that is out there to try to stop pulling and this time nothing seems to be helping and I’ve stopped once for 7 yrs and another time for 3 yrs but I’ve been stuck in what I call the “shaving trap” now for 5 yrs and I don’t understand why. But again thank you so much for responding and if at any time you end up making one for hair pulling if you could please post me the link that would be greatly appreciated. God bless! 😊

Hi. I too have suffered from this all my life. The best thing I found for it is Tapping. Unfortunately, I have not found ONE specifically guided tapping meditation for this, and I feel like we have been LEFT OUT. However, I just tap on my hand points, & below my collar bone area or on the gamut point on my hand when I have urges, even while listening to a video or something until the urge passes, because... I studied Neuro Linguistuc Programming for help, and about getting your brain unstuck from a loop and to change PERSPECTIVE, for instance even with your EYES, & focus on something else. SOMETIMES it's as simple as moving from one chair to another, or just getting up & walking into the other room & then coming back... MOVING YOUR BODY or changing your environment... "changing space". So, I tap while listening to videos to give my hands something else to do (tried all the other things, rubbing a rock, holding a pen..., but THIS WORKS FOR ME), and I think it calms me down because my mind is conditioned to relax while tapping from tapping on other things. Also, I don't want to take u away from Julie, however, I find the Tapping Solution app to be very helpful.
