I really didn't understand why you have such massive horse fields until I realized that not a lot of grass per acre being desert and need big lands. I live in Kentucky and our fields are wall to wall grass. (google KY horse farm images) So just want to say I appreciate the hard work y'all have to do to manage out west ranches. ❤❤

Yup, out here it's not cows/horses per acre, it's acres/sections per animal. But, wouldn't trade the arid west for anything! 🏜

It’s just herd/range management. It’s not ideal for pastures to be grazed 365 days/year. Plus, it’s kind of like giving them a fresh start every breeding season- they get excited and get the job done.

I wish they awnswered this. My take is its probably like Barker Cattle Company. We would seperate bulls and cows. This was for health, safety and to pervent unwanted births. It also helped both sexes mental health.
