Lorerim is hard, and I was clueless when I started playing. I was playing a mage, and didn’t know why the spell books popped up at each level, so I just backed out. I learned, after working to get to level 20, that I could have taken around 40 spells. This is the only guide I’ve found that has helped me, thank you. Please keep making them!!!

I've played a juiced level 50 monk recently but i wasn't sold on Hand to hand combat sadly, the Precision mod makes fighting with fists in 3rd person a little inconsistent, hits that look like they landed don't often register. Which then made me crutch on magic too much and it ended up been more like an Air Bender style Mage

Very cool! I am curently trying to do a Nord Retirbution/Vengance Paladin of Talos with 2H, Resto, Heavy Armor and Speech. Do you think that works out or should i try getting alteration in there? Also leveled Smithing a bit for gear and Wayfarer for the Leader perks. Do you think that would work out nicely aswell?

I think you'll struggle with Two-handed and restoration too much swapping to be effective in most crucial fights, alteration is required to self cast spells automatically at the start of combat. Wayfarer is something you don't spec into until your core build is done. unless you're a thief for lockpicking

​@@1337Maju not really possible. build heavily relies on casting spells efficently and on the go. you're sacrificing a great deal of spell cost reduction and speed using a two hander. and the lack of speed and weapon holstering will get you killed.

You seem to really enjoy Requiem gameplay. I feel it's significantly more tactical and open to theorycrafting than any other type of perk mod, and manages to stay difficult until a certain point, but after that point the power feels justified anyway, even if you become way too powerful.

Great video! What would you say do you need to change to make a 2h paladin work? Always wanted to play it with 2h, but dont seem to find a good way, because of all the spells which you need a free hand for

Yeah it's not really that viable the entire build leans heavily on having spell and weapon. it's clunky having to swap, can often get you killed and you lose a ton of Spell cost perks that require you to have spell and weapon in hand. If you want to 2H it's probably better to build around shouts and Enchants. but that's not a Paladin!

Im contemplating downloading lorerim, but I wished to know if you knew what mod implements the point distribution system when leveling. I like the format of it and if possible would like to use it outside of lorerim regardless of what i choose to do. And the mod that makes it to where you can choose spells when you take specific perks when leveling.

- the build has 60% damage - proceeds to kill a late game dragon in 2s I wonder what a S+ damage build would be

The rating is overall, early game, mid game it's a melee brawler. Which is relatively low damage. endgame is where it makes up for that, hence 60% overall rating because the majority of your play time you will not be doing insane damage

Build is amazing. Only thing I would not is that you make a big point of saving the lvl 8 perk point for level 9 but then you don’t say how to use it. The only perk you show at lvl 9 is adept restoration.

@@oniiyon4840 well Spellsword isnt really defined. It's a magic user that uses a sword... all apply still to this guide. you still need Restoration, Alteration, one handed. If you want to free up perks and be squishy leave out heavy armor and go destruction.

Any tips on playing evasion? I try my best to avoid using the bow, but I feel so paper thin and with a large group of enemies it seems impossible to just dodge around forever while whittling them down.

@bigarm4598 any build needs these 3 things: Offense (how do you deal damage) Defense (how do you survive) Sustain (how do you maintain your resources) if you don't have an answer for all 3, that's your problem. The Paladin for example: Offense: Melee until expert / master spells defense: Heavy armor + restoration Sustain (restoration and alteration) For evasion / stealth builds Illusion is insanely strong

@bigarm4598 there's a ton of spells that make you harder to hit in the illusion spells. Blur for example. life tap is insanely strong for healing. not to mention the obvious stealth related spells.
