Happy New Year! - I did actually test drive one of these when they came out. Our company needed a small van to replace a Minivan for use primarily in the West End and it appealed to me against the rather mainstream Ford Fiesta van. Vetoed on the grounds of its glass-fibre construction, I was somewhat disappointed as, also being a Sprite owner, was rather looking forward to unbolting the back section for semi-open top driving on occasions. Hence my trip to the Reliant dealers in Hanwell came to nothing. Very pleasant to drive, quite basic, but that's the appeal. Saw one in Norfolk some years back where someone has a few - or did - with one on the road and a collection in bits...

All the best to you all in sunny Wales. Warms the cockles of my heart to see the little Reliant getting some attention. 100mph Speedo not overly optimistic as I’ve had an indicated 95mph out of a Rialto. The old boy went on to repeat the achievement albeit completely sieving the middle two pistons to the point where the crowns sheered from the skirts! Cue imperial spanners and sockets and a pair of good used pistons and liners and she was as good as ever. Ballpoint front end much nicer to deal with than the kingpin and bush set up on its 3 wheeled cousin. I’d love to have a tinker on Foxanne myself for posterity sake. Miss that very familiar engine note. They do like to run a bit on the rich side with 2-2.5% CO being the emission figure to aim for.

Happy new year! Someone's gonna watch this video in the future and hear you mention £1.47/litre for fuel and probably think 'ah, the good old days'. Good to see Foxanne getting some attention. Shame they don't come up too often as imagine one of these rocking up outside to drop your stuff off...

@@HubNut thanks Ian. I'm just watching the vid on it and the BX he's selling too, hadn't seen his channel before - personality wise I totally get where he's coming from... I'm a bit of a hoarder of various things from time to time and my mind/life gets cluttered if I don't stay on top of things. For the first time in my life I'm almost in the financial position to justify getting a classic-ish car (and more importantly, maintaining one) and perhaps even private storage for such a thing. I wanted to get an Austin A35 van - my dad's first car and rare as hen's teeth now. Lost my dad a year ago though and it's frustrating as hell knowing that he can't see me in a position to pull off something like that. I've seen KZbin vids where people surprise their dads with restored cars from yesteryear and I'd loved to have done such a thing. Anyway, I digress. Wishing you and yours all the best for 2022. I have a pretty 'quirky' delivery vehicle (it surprises a lot of customers) but it isn't a classic... Keep the vids coming, I reckon there are hundreds of us being inspired (for better or worse) by your channel... Lol

Oh no! This made me realise that my MOT is due soon, one small problem, my car has no mechanical locks and the cenratl locking has locked me out. I put a new battery in the key but no luck and I'm sure that unless i have a bad earth, it is not the battery (new alternator fitted last year) so it only leaves the internal locking system. I need to break into my own car to find out.

They're 340 seats alright, we had F202DYA, a GLE spec, in the family until 2006, originally my grans (her mother paid for it as she was living with them iirc) and then from Oct. 2000 my Aunties when my gran's cousin came into some dough and got told to choose herself a new car on the priviso my auntie got the Volvo, naturally there were no complaints! Got finally scrapped when my Auntie got her new KA, which wasn't the best purchase. And 1.47/litre, we for some unknown reason get 141.9 at our new Shell on the Isle, cheaper than any of the supermarkets by a few pence.

Happy new year to all !!! Reliant Fox , Citroen Pony and Renault Farma were made in Greece in the 80's. They were two seater cars(a lot of them where transformed into 4 seater) with high ground clearence and benefitted low taxes making very popular, especially the Citroen Pony.Until the goverment decided that greek people shouldn't build their own cars and changed some laws...and that was the end of this cars. At the same time Nissan was assembling their cars in Greece, until 1985 when laws changed and moved production line in the U.K. in 1986.

Happy new year Ian and to the to the Hub Nut tribe. It's really great to see FoxAnne running and driving once again. That turning circle looks like it could beat a London Taxi. An interesting way to get rid of those pesky weeds as well. All good advice to use axle stands and not just rely on a jack as there have been many nasty incidents regarding jacks failing or cars falling off a jack when a stubborn nut/bolt is released. Safety first.
