The new artifacts (essence orbs) should be droppable on death and have cooler effects that are static and not RNG. Like take less damage but do less damage, or you are faster but do less damage.

There is an event from a meteor where there is a shower of relic orbs that you pick up off the ground. It was giving things from 2 silver all the way to sanguinite / lupium / plate scales. You get the unidentified essence orb from there and ID it at a trinket vendor like a trinket and then just place it straight into the mastery tree. The magic vendor 200g orb is so you can take the orb out of your mastery tree.

The essences are interesting they need to be totally pve focused and obtainable for casuals. It's already an insane grind to max clade then 100 mastery and get a full ruber set.
