As a swing jazz fan, I am converted now to bluegrass with this band, too. Brilliant playing singing and songwriting. Loving the touches of jazz-rock sweet/disonance in the compositions. Really quite impressed and grateful for these nice young men for making my day with their beautiful music!

Billy Strings has single handedly plucked my mopey soul straight out of underground soundcloud rappers (i was getting into increasingly arrogant lean-inspired tracks, alienating friends and family to the point where no one would ride in my car). Now I can't stop listening, and am getting the hang of "dust in a baggie." No cap, your music knocked me off my chair when i first heard what you guys get done during a live session, and i was sold for a second time. Billy's more progressive sounding riffs, when he deviates greatly from the base chord structure... reminds me of jamming with my old math rock and powerviolence bands I played drums for (And guitar in the math rock gig). Like throwing some pink floyd, kruangbin, rush, suicidal tendencies... i can't even explain it! thrashy/metal riffs i guess. I'M DOWN AS FUCK. NOW I'M STARTING A BLUEGRASS BAND IN MY HOMETOWN OF RENO, NV. I think the older crowd has been in desperate need of more local acts composed of nothing more than pure instrumental wizardry. I have my own "placeholder" improv and fill guitar licks to at the very least keep the billy strings covers sounding for the most part, complete thoughts and the proper foot tempo.

Being a city girl I never liked country or bluegrass, but been a deadhead since I could hear music, Billy covers every dead song he does with so much talent and respect, I think Jerry would have LOVED Billy, we miss you papa 🐻 bear, ♥️R.I.P, ♥️bet your smiling everytime billy plays one of your favorite bluegrass tunes you always liked to cover!
