9:44 I'm pretty sure that for this comment the person probably meant a progression system similar to deepwoken, as in there are bandits that spawn randomly and you can just go around killing them and there's other mobs that you kill for progression which is more different to blox fruits since you don't stay in one specific location and farm specific mobs that spawn at the exact same place all the time and you're actually incentivized to explore and find new mobs to kill as you progress.

Cool take: Progression should be like a whole adventure system, for example, if you want to take over Alabasta like the anime, you could probably go to the island, meetup with an npc to get a disquise, sneak around the island, explore and look for clues on how to get to the leader, fight some grunts, take on each member of the baroque works one by one, and finally the boss. That would feel really cool and like a real game, i feel as if this would be extremely fun and a nice adventure

my hot take about grinding/getting stronger is by: 1. fighting wild life, people, cut wood,fishing,mining stone iron etc. to craft better items like minecraft or something 2. get xp by wood cutting, in fight by-(pary gives more xp than normal block, atacking gives some xp and is increased by combo etc) fishing, mining, cooking so other roles can get stronger too 3. getting pretty big amount of xp by checking new locations like island u never was on or something like caves etc 4. items could be crafted or found in chests that could also give some xp materials for crafting and maps for some other places or hidden chests with higer rarity

I feel like for the weapons should have a move that doesn’t have anything to do with the fruit for example: if you have Bisento it will have 4 moves 2 being regular moves like a slash attack or a ground smash move without quake effect and the other 2 will but to use the other 2 with quake effect you gotta have the quake fruit equipped.

Game looks really cool, hopefully the quest system is better than the ones that are often used nowadays. I personally think making trees destructible would be really good for the game, not only it would look good and improve clarity during intense combat but would also increase the perceived strength of the moves that destroyed them, it should also be pretty simple to implement, and they could even include options to hide trees and their physics for lower-end devices. About the weapons, I personally think the more interesting approach would be to create different movesets for weapons while having the fruit or not. This wouldn't apply to every weapon but for iconic weapons this would be really fun, and would allow the devs to create a good moveset for the people who want to use the weapon by itself while also fulfilling the "white-beard" fantasy while having the gura fruit. Some would argue that this would be unfair for non-fruit users but the fantasy these people want to fulfill is very different to the "white-beard" one, since people who want to explore the fruitless aspect of the game would go after characters such as Zoro, Shanks or Gol D Roger and would be much more interested in interacting with the haki system and training even further in their respective weapons.
