This is oddly relaxing😂 Is it relaxing for you to prep them?

Yes it is relaxing to reload. At least it is for me.

Videos like these make me want to get into reloading. I'm not an avid shooter on account of hypersensitive hearing, but a number of my friends are. Do you have any tips/resources for those interested in learning about reloading?

This seems like a fun hobby have you ever had any issues with your ammo like hangfire or a damaged casing?

Not yet but I am fairly new to reloading.

Spicy chocolate sprinkles

How much did it cost for you to make these? When I was in the army we always collected our discarded brass for this; but they never told us how much it was to retool and clean the brass for new rounds vs making and buying new bullets.

I think it gets more profitable the larger the scale is

Other than the FC or RP notation on the paper at the end that I can't figure out, thank you for the loading data. How'd they work?
@JoelsWorkshop Жыл бұрын
Federal and Remington brass cases are the FC and RP. They worked great!

I have the same scale. Not nearly as accurate as my manual weight scale. They are really only good for getting the powder throw close.

I have never reloaded and I have a question, how big is the chance that the cartridge charge will ignite during compression.

Really nice video! This might be a stupid question to ask, but how cost effective is reloading your ammos? Does the efficiency change depending on caliber, grain, etc.
@JoelsWorkshop Жыл бұрын
Not a stupid question at all. I can speak for myself but it depends where you live and the cost of reloading equipment, components and the caliber (local ammo prices) and how much you shoot. I save about 50% ($0.97) on each cartridge of 30-06. My equipment was $591 Canadian and so I need to reload 612 rounds to pay for the equipment. If I was shooting .223 or 9mm only I would just buy it.

@@JoelsWorkshop Thanks for the answer! The country I live in doesn’t allow guns at all so it is interesting to see how the economy works

Is the buttom part of the ammo that also need to be changed every time you shot it or it can be used several times to ignite the inside powder? Sorry for bad English

The little button looking thing that gets inserted? That's called a primer and it is single use. The first time he puts the brass casing through the press (at the top) he's pushing out the used primer and then when he shows the brass casing being pulled down against the bottom that is the insert step for the new primer. It is possible to reload the primer with new chemicals but it is difficult and not recommended for the average person.
