One more thing on your 14" 22 Creed Pistol. If, you are determined to go with a LER pistol scope for shooting distance there are two current ones in production, and maybe a third. Crimson Trace Brushline Pro 2.5-8x28 BDC Pistol Scope. It has a great reticle for multiple holding points. Main Negative...It has very little internal MOA! The Weaver 2-6 pistol scope has the double the internal MOA, but I have only used it out to 500 yards on steel. An older Leupold or Burris (with Ballistic Plex) that had target turrets on them would be great to use, with the Leupold having more internal adjustment than any LER scope. Burris Signature Zee rings will allow you to add more MOA through the rings. I used one of those when I was shooting steel at 500 yards with a 357 Magnum revolver. Leupold discontinued making pistol scopes, and Burris LER's seems to be harder to find now, and they didn't have nay at SHOT. Suppressor and or a good brake with a rifle scope is so much better for what you are looking for...And you already have that

Really cool talk so far Quest….. my only question is good copper bullets for hunting. Are they acceptable for under 100 yards with large accuracy? I’m familiar with Barnes and they’re awesome, however I’m assuming pure copper bullets.
@ReloadingQuest7 ай бұрын
Yeah copper bullets will work just fine in 100 yards. You need speed to make them work. So closer you are the better. Most copper bullets need at least 1800 fps to expand and not pencil through.

If your having issues with stability with 90’s in an 18 inch going to 24 probably won’t solve it. Derrick needs to send you a1/7.5 twist and you will be money. N560 was one of the first powders I tried in 2012 with the 22CM but the better option is the N565.
@ReloadingQuest7 ай бұрын
Yeah I know 1:8 have done it for 90gr ones but won’t know till I try. I assume it will be a 1:8 twist because that’s what is SAAMi approved. I am thinking making east where I can get some elevation and see what it does. The bullets coming apart in the barrel spinning the jacket off. So that might need to just back the speeds off.

I've ran a 243-6mm for the last 25 years coyote hunting. Ive shot 200-300 per year for the last 15 years. Just finished a 22cm build and so far i hate it. Lol Ive gotten 90% runners with 75eldm, 70vld, 75vld. I'm going to try 69tmk and 77tmk this weekend. If they dont work its going in the safe. Ive only had a couple bang flops and that was high shoulder. Front facing center punched always run 40-50yards. Its weird to me im 330k rpm running it hard. 🤷♂️

Enjoyed it. In terms of using your 14 inch 22 Creed pistol out to 1000 yards. There are no real good long eye relief pistol scopes out there. Have I used pistol scopes out to 1000 yards and beyond with success? The answer is yes, but it is frustrating compared to using a good rifle scope. A good solid bottomed muzzle brake will make using a rifle, scope, a joy, but I believe you’re going to use a suppressor, and that will help reduce recoil, also it will add weight to the gun which will retard recoil as well If you were shooting prone on the dirt, with a Bipod, just the dirt itself will retard movement backwards, compared to be shooting it off a smooth bench. A Bipod and a small field bag underneath the pistol grip will allow you to shoot accurately as far as that gun is capable of. I’m glad you’re going to do another video on the 22 Creed pistol

@@Kaspar_Outdoors , Thank you. Shooting and hunting with specialty pistols at distance, is what I enjoy most. Just last Friday I ran two of them to 1K and 1200 yards respectively. Cows had knocked down the 1350 and 1500 yard targets or I would have shot further.

Where is the roading data? Hornady won't give it out and says Horizon has exclusive rights to it but I don't see how anyone can have exclusive rights to reloading data. I absolutely love Barnes TSX and LRX. I've harvested deer, elk and bear with them and many times they just drop right there. I plan to get a 22cm and shoot the 62gr ELD-VT for coyotes and the Barnes 77gr LRX for big game.
