Hiveblood works, except for those times where you mess up midair and get hit by a wingmould into thorns or buzzsaws. Have that happen too many times and you die anyways. The above combo works better. It also doesn't make you wait 10 seconds every time you mess up, which can feel like forever when you're practicing on your first run through.@@leadnose6728

Tips for fighting Nightmare King Grimm: Forget about any nail / spell buff. Focus more on healing. Heal when NKG does his flame pillar and fire bats attack. Use these charms: Quick focus - faster heal for 1 mask Deep focus - longer heal for 2 masks Shape of Unn - allow you to move and heal during fire bats attack Here's how the combo balances out: Quick focus and shape of unn will make you move and heal too fast, you might run into NKG or stand up before the fire bats attack ends. Equipping deep focus into the mix will return movement and heal speed to normal when healing. Since deep (slow, 2 masks) and quick (fast, 1 mask) is equipped, it'll heal at normal speed for 2 masks. The time is just enough to dodge fire bats and heal 1 time after the fourth fire pillar. When fighting NKG, he's not inviting us to fight. He wants us to dance. So take it slow, one hit at a time, dodge. And when he finishes his fourth fire pillar or when he's about to launch the fire bats attack, HEAL. I'm pretty bad at dodging NKG's attacks but this build allows me to have a winning chance by surviving in an endurance battle. This charm combo isn't in the video but I hope this helps, good luck with NKG

5:00 if you get to a lifeblood cocoon, it will give you extra masks, but will keep the fury of the fallen effect (if you are at 1hp before you hit the cocoon). so you basically have all that damage and like 5 hp. really good for pantheon of hallownest where after every section you get a good amount of lifeblood (as long as you can get through the first part hitless).

This video really helped. When I play, my strategy is wayward compass and gathering swarm. If you don’t know it, you will get a shield of primal aspids, and a inner shell of god masters. I had to pay 30$ for the wayward compass dlc, and then another 30$ for gathering swarm. As a bonus, wayward compass makes your nail the size of hallownest, it gives you the purest of pure super pure nail, and finally allows you to rule hallownest.

Actually grubberfly elegy + grubsong + deep focus is best combo for platforming (white palace mostly tbh). Grubberfly elegy has a synergy with grubsong that gives you more soul for being hit effectively allowing you to heal more hp than you lose.

The single charm combination I've used almost CONSTANTLY and not seen anyone else reference yet is Grubsong with Deep Focus... Absolutely my go-to for platforming puzzles because it *almost* balances out soul, i.e. every two hits gives back just enough to heal back two masks again (with just a slight loss over time). Pretty much UNLIMITED masks with no waiting (like Hiveblood or Kingsoul), and I really haven't heard anyone else talk about it!

In order to unlock a SECRET charm, you have to use wayward compass in combination with heavy blow, and jonis blessing to defeat the PURE VESSEL. After doing this, as soon as the screen goes white, dash to the left as quick as you can and you'll get it. It's called The Gull, and using it you now have the ability to gull, which I can't tell you what it does . .. you just have to find out yourself.

Don't forget that you also have to jump after you dash, else you will receive damage from clipping through the stage into an invisible pit and your position gets reset to the middle of the stage. Also don't expect any neat lore behind that charm, it's just a cool little Easteregg.
