If my audiometrist did not place probes in my ears, does this mean that they did not use Oticon REM autofit???

no it is also correct but less precise , because you get less informations over the CAE.(hearing canal) but if you use the audiometry in situ, its quiet precise. You need to know that if the probes are not well placed by the professional , the measure is false.

Yes. It means they did not do any REM, autofit or manual, Oticon or other.

Wonder why Audiology experts are too lazy to do this when they sell Oticon hearing aids

because the measure is done with a tool which cost more than 8000€ approximately. so it isn't possible to get it in each shop. you need the oticon genie 2 program and the MedRx tool. I am a professional i so i can tell you the reality on the field.
