I grew up with a mom who was abused in all conciveable ways, by my grandfather and uncle. She went through hell. The type of hell none of us can imagine. She went on to try to raise two boys to the best of her ability. She pushed on. She hurt everyday. It impacted both my brother and I. She taught us both, that life can be better. Mom tried her damndest despite the torture she endured. Mom, everyone cries, sometimes. RIP 1957-2016.

Its gonna be 7years on June 7th and it doesn't go away, the pain but it doesn't knock you down as often. Hang in there and find a grief group you can join and get out of the house. 🙏Lydia. I also love this song. I sent this to my son. He and his dad were so close. My son use to stop in every day after work, to visit for a half hour or an hour. I’d be in the kitchen getting dinner ready, and I could hear both my son and his dad talking up a storm, laughing at something, one of them said. Once he got his daddy fix, he say “See you tomorrow, dad, and yell at me that he’d see me tomorrow mom, love yous”. We lost his dad back in Oct 2006, and my son misses him so much. I know he is still hurting over the loss of his dad. I also miss him. Hoping this song will be helpful to him.

After being lost for 47 days and nights we got her back! She survived in frigid temperatures with snow, and NO Claws. She weighed half the weight from before but no frostbite Thank God! I lost my best friend. My dad was always there. Even through his darkest moments and biggest moments, he cared the most about me. He had hearing issues so he didn't always hear what I said, but it didn't matter if we could hear each other talk. We had a bond, that only death could break. And break that bond death did. I want to be with him again and I want to give up on this life. But I know he would've wanted me to live the best life I could. So I carry on. Not for me, but for him. Really sorry for your loss :( . My father and I have the same type of relationship and I don't think I'm mentally prepared for the day when he's gone. It's going to hurt in ways I won't be able to imagine. One day something great will happen to me at work and I'll want to call someone to tell them about it. I'll pull out my phone, go to my contacts, and instinctively select "Dad". I'll pause for a moment and break down all over again. That is what I fear the most about losing a parent. They don't get to continue watching you grow. Everything that happens to you from that point onwards, they will miss. My heart goes out to anyone hanging in there after losing their mom or dad.
