In the first case x^n - a^n(n is even)=x+a 2nd x^n-a^n (n is odd)=x+a 3rd x^n-a^n(n is even/odd) then x-a How to find the difference whether I'm seeing the 1st case/3rd case Kindly explain

No confusion brother. If its even x+a and if it's odd and minus is there then the rule is x-a. That's it. You have to memorise it

I don't think so because there's no remainder. 17 is completely divisible. Hence the answer is zero.

Q) 16^ - 1÷17 Stept 1→ (17-1)^-1÷17 Stept 2 → Cancel 17, So you are left with only (-1)^ - 1 Any number to the power even is even. So 1-1=0 Simple👍

It is always divided by x-a but for it to be divisible by x+a the value of n has to be even

To all the people who are confused about (x^n + a^n) is divisible by what when n is even? Then the solution: It is divisible by neither (x-a) nor (x+a).
