I'm only 8 minutes in and I love the idea of "sectors" showing a number of planets inside them. Very cool.

I love this focus on hyperspace lanes, and having key planets in them. It'll make choke points a lot more valuable than they were before! Great change!

I love this mod, but I would like to voice my four criticisms. Please correct me if I’m wrong, because I want to be. 1: The way the AI builds ships. If always seems that the AI is either making a million super-ships or something from a planet the took over. Then it doesn’t feel like I’m fighting the empire anymore, instead a bunch of lucrehulks and SSDs. 2: Al, the random Easter eggs, like Darth Nihlus and the Star Forge, are fun but immersion breaking. I feel like there should be campaigns without them. 3: The amount of pirate planets. Yes, I know there has to be something there, but fighting pirates over and over gets really stale and I feel burnt out by the time I get to the enemy faction. There is a map with just Rebels and Empire, but that’s not the same either. EAWX fixes this by hav8ng many factions so you can start small but still not fight pirates all the time (I recognize this is more difficult given the timeline of this mod, by there are things like the Hutts and the Corporate Sector Authority) 4: Yes I know they are fun, but I feel there are too many super ships. Maybe keep them down to 2-3 per faction. This is just a preference though since you don’t have to make them. I otherwise love this mod though. If you actually read this, thank you for your time.

Awesome Update! Will you include an option to turn ground battles off? Never liked those and loved the current version i play being space only....previously i turned the boring ground battles by editing the planets file and make all of them ground inaccessible....id imagine it possible to do a script which does that on start of a gc by the push of a button

No, ground combat is back, and it's here to stay.

Removing ground was a massive thing before, it certainly isn't as easy as a script. Don't worry though, ground should be vastly more entertaining than vanilla, certainly enough so that they aren't a chore anymore

Why is there so much independent pirates? I like the EAWX Approach more, where most of the galaxy is already under an active factions control. Also, are there any plans to have lore accurate (ish) eras?

Blame EAW, not Remake. To make this playable multiplayer, it wouldn't even be remake anymore, the amount of units you'd need to remove and mechanics to redo. Not to mention that desyncs make it so GC multiplayer is incredibly unreliable even if it works at all.
