Remake mod version 4.0 has been out for a few weeks and continues to get updated. I've been enjoying testing the various factions including the empire. Lets discuss skirmish mode changes and how the early game units work.

i really like how the shipyard actually treats space like a 3d environement by plugging in ships at all sorts of odd angles.

I’m loving remake. It has its problems stability wise. Such as skirmishes crashing if they go to long, or the crash that happens either randomly in GC or after you reach the 250 month mark (I think it’s 250 or so I may be wrong) regardless with the next update I’m hoping these are fixed so that I can just play my rebels with republic ships

This is a great mod,excellent remake,I am having some issues with crashing to desktop in large map campaign,I am trying one with the medium one,so far so good,highly recommended for any SW fans,liked the vid,keep it up.

I only played skirmish in 4.055 so not sure if this is 4.0 inclusive as well but ... you should build the command relays. They allow you to specialise your fleet tech tree a little + have more upgrades. This is especially noteworthy as the Criminal Underworld where you can choose between 4 factions (CIS, Hutts, Zann Consortium and I think Mandalorians) to have access to their ships. I really wish they would expand on this in the future to make it a core aspect of skirmish.

Nine and a half minutes in I’m waiting for shack to realize the main stations upgrades only apply to fighters and corvettes and you upgrade frigates at the frigate shipyards

At about 21 minutes I believe only fighters can capture neutrals, and it requires all enemy fighters in the capture radius to be eliminated too. For the Empire I suggest the missile boats for Rebel fighters, they seem to do well against them.

Funny enough the Torpedo Sphere is probably the cheapest way to break heavy defenses or formations during the late game, also one of the few ships that out ranges any defense.

Don’t know if you know the orbiter uplink station gives you a big space gun that does tons of damage like 6000 damage per shot and it shoots quite fast too

Couldn't get this mod to run even half as well as you're running it here. I've googled solutions like limiting the cores and raising the affinity, but I still only reach a max of 25 FPS. Hoping I find a solution because I like what this mod does

How do you get this to run so well? Even when I limit the cores at a certain point it always lags. Any tips?

So literally just spam 30 squadrons of ARC-170s at the beginning and get a level 3 space station. You win at that tech level.

This sounds like the most boring way to play EAW. "Spam X Fighter and Win" This is true for most mods if you spam enough starfighters. :D

I've gotten my ass kicked so many times in Skirmish. Cant quite seem to break thier main area and one mistep puts you on the backstep so badly. Enjoying it but frustrating too.

Been thinking about buying this game since I saw and sub to you playing this game. Though I have saw this 4.0 remake and when I saw the remake trailer to it, I saw clone wars era units. Does that mean it’s compatible with the clone wars mod or does this remake HAVE the content like the clone wars mod?

There are planets that allow younto build clone wars era ships.

@@xBurningxWrathx there is no sub mod. You have to get a planet like Rendelli to build republic ships and if playing as empire you get imperial variants.

I gave up on the remake after all the changes after 4.0. They nerf the credit generation yet kept the nickel and dime mechanics and removed the golan 1 from tech 0. They are so concerned about balance they removed the fun
