That rods going to snap. You really need to get some proper training in rod repairs. By making those ferrules solid you create dead spots on that section of the blank and you have totally destroyed the action of the rod.

Forced to disagree with you. I made a lot of these rods. And no one complained about my work. At the factory rods are made in the same way.

@@fishingworld8244 To prove that, you need to put the rod under load and check for dead spots. Longer the spigot joints, the bigger the dead spots. I would have removed the guides before doing this and realigned the guides keeping the guide position away from the joints.

@@owenbosen4254 Rather than throwing away a 2 or $300 rod I will put up with a few dead spots, since I got the fishing rod out of the trash, it's all good.
