Growls aren't dead, they've evolved - people are always looking for the next new, more interesting sound. Just like the old subby house kick evolved into the superkick we hear today, spawning trance's clicky kick as it went. Dubstep, like house, is a powerful genre that will grow and change for many years to come!
@andreilemieux95254 жыл бұрын
hahaha yeah, its definitely an incorrect statement to say that people got sick of growls. people just started to use different techniques to make growls.

The aggressive phase could have also been the terror squad phase. Growls were still being used, but the main focus were those annoying fm basses with a bass octave carrier and a higher octave modulator. and to add vowel to them, people just used high pass filters. I think almost all the sounds in CA$H by Barely Alive represent this phase well.
