#godot #devlog My first completed Godot game was awful. How about I remake it as a movement shooter and document the process on KZbin?

Oh wow, a well-made Godot devlog by a guy with HOW DO YOU ONLY HAVE 36 SUBS??? Easy sub! Keep creating, dude! You got this. Great concept so far!

This level of polish is just enough i believe, that if you could make decent games that are 5+ hours youd be onto something

As someone who’s just getting into game dev and learning with Godot, this is very inspiring to me. Keep it up and I can’t wait to see what future projects you work on! 🙌

W8... Did you also made music that is used in this video or it is some kind of generic music from any generic library? If you made them yourself... wow you are incredible! And even if you used some from libriaries, you matched them very good ;) And also very nice devlog. Keep it up!

Hello from the algorithm! Happy to see CSG love, it’s a great tool. You can also export them for editing in blender if you ever do decide to become a different form of masochist😂

Hey hey! My name is Jack. I run a small indie studio called Cow Town Creative! I totally dig your recent dev-log videos and the focus on mobility. Would love to touch base with you if possible?

This honestly inspired me to make a game myself. Where and how did you learn to make 3d games like this?
@RetoRadial21 күн бұрын
A lot of trial and error. I have many games that failed, but I learned something from each of them. I kept going until I found something that worked.
@AladinsDevАй бұрын
HOW! can you be so GOOOD just asking how did you learned level design ?
@RetoRadialАй бұрын
I learned from just playing with CSG Meshes. As for looks, if I find an empty-looking area, I just slap something on it.
@AladinsDevАй бұрын
@@RetoRadial but don't you have issues with csg like invisible lines ?
@RetoRadialАй бұрын
@@AladinsDev Lowering the Snap threshold eliminates all lines in 90% of cases, so it's hardly an issue
@AladinsDevАй бұрын
@@RetoRadial and lasy question :) Do you use flip faces or just union and substract method to build interiors ?
@RetoRadialАй бұрын
@@AladinsDev For simple interiors, flip faces is usually fine. For levels that twist, turn, and snake back on themselves, I tend to make the interior walls their own separate meshes.

Are you actually feeling any performance hits by using the CSG meshes? I'm kinda scared to use them for my game
@RetoRadialАй бұрын
I use a plugin that converts the CSG Meshes to normal Meshes, so there's no performance impact.
