My thoughts on each: Rush: I like how you made sure the player could really see the horror of what they were looking at. The plus with the first one is that the darker hues in rush makes it more mysterious when you first see him. Ambush: Not many thoughts on this one, other than it looks more like it’s eating you up and that’s pretty cool. Seek: I sort of like the first one better. Fits the other eyes on the wall more, and the small pupil in the redesigned one makes it seem he’s scared of YOU Dupe: Perfect, amazing, looks more like a redesign and I’m here for it. Figure: why does the new one look more real than the actual one? I love the twisting head and bright colors. Halt: SO GOOD. Flows into the rest of the chase sequence super well. I think it wouldn’t been cool to still see the text, but it’s great that it’s more in your face. Glitch: I love it. It’s a lot less “what’s happening” than the actual one. I like that you can see glitch’s outline better (this is coming from someone who loves glitch and thinks he got totally ripped off). Void: I love the face flash, makes void seem more like an actual entity rather than a nameless black flash, yknow? Jack: not many thoughts on this one Screech: Looks like he’s giving you a kiss, LOL. Timothy my beloved: I like the green, makes it feel more disorienting. I would have it fade a little faster for, like, the suddenness of it all. Snare: The red border adds a lot of panic, I like it.

These jump scares feel more terrifying, like the entities genuinely DESPISE the player. And they take immense pleasure in killing the player. It feels like they are trying their hardest to hunt the player down, like a predator stalking its prey. It’s like how Seeks eyes dilate when he catches you, and how Ambush has a face that contorts when he catches you. Or how Screech leaves bite marks on the face of the victim, or how Void’s face is burned into the retinas of their victim, it feels absolutely terrifying. It’s way more frightening than the regular ones because it feels more personal. Not like a, “get out of my way!” Kind of fear. Like a, “I’m taking immense pleasure from what I’m doing.” It’s probably why each entity becomes more and more common the further you get in the Hotel, because they don’t want you there. They HATE that you are there.

The ambush one is spectacular! The dupe one is amazing omg!!! The Jack one definitely feels more like a jumpscare. Halt is very well done, it’s more immersive. I did not expect for Timothy to be good, but the color change is great!

Half of these are silly, and half are actually really good. Two I'd like to note: The Ambush one is especially cool - the detail of its facial features expanding when it lunges towards the screen really adds to its uncanniness and makes it feel more mysterious. Jack's new appearance is silly, but the shaking is a good detail that would fit well in the game.

it took a while for me to realize what the new ones had changed, but i'm very impressed by the details! the jumpscares are longer and give you enough time to process what's happening, giving the void, jack, and the glitch a very much necessary uplift makes their "what the hell was that" vibe a lot more sinister, and the bite marks on screech is a good but uncomfortable adjustment! if i hadn't looked at the title i'd think this was a very well needed update. good work 👍

Amazing! Those small touches in Screech, Snare and Timothy definitely add to the Jumpscare. Halt, Blitz and Void are my favourites. The ones that dont quite get are Figure, Glitch, and Ambush. Damn though making Figure's head rotate is Nightmare fuel- Can you make new Jumpscares for Hide and the rooms entities along with Dread?

Feel like part of the horror comes from the feeling that you don't belong. Like you've been dropped in a foreign ecosystem and everything that kills you is indifferent to doing so because that's just what it has to do to survive. Half these jumpscares make them appear malicious, such as seek's eye. It takes away from the "ecosystem" feel and just makes it feel more like they're trying to kill you because "fuck you"

It depends, I guess. I like your ecosystem theory, but some people may find it scarier that these things are hunting you because you’re different. They hate you because you’re different. Personally I think these things have their own reasons. The charging ones and Figure see you as prey(Figure)/a threat, Screech may just enjoy it, but after beating the Mines, I wouldn’t say it’s be out of the question to say that Seek knows you’re not a threat, just legitimately hates you for even coming to his home.
