Remarkable 2 How to stop your pen falling off folio

Helpful! The folio is so minimal - it lacks some functionality. I've finally learned how to keep the marker magnets snapped to the side of the RM2, and I'm mindful of it, so there's less risk of dropping the marker than when I first started. However - again, I was on a construction site this morning, fumbling around with my tools, had to put the marker in my pocket to avoid the risk of dropping it into the open wall framing.

That’s exactly what I did, but I put the pen holder on the front as you open the folio 👍🏿

When you pay AUS$249 for a folio that has no thought for securing the AUS$199 Marker Plus pen…and have to resort to a gimmicky 3rd party strap-on….very annoying!

Hi Michael, you are absolutely right, for this much money you'd expect premium like Apple, the problem with dropping the marker is that the nib is exposed and the plastic can crack if it lands on the nib - retractable nib maybe? Having said all this do you know what the Supernote and Onyx book solution is for keeping their pens safe, let me know. Cheers

@@MaverickNextGen To ensure the safety of my Remarkable2 screen even with the folio on, AND so as not to lose my marker plus pen, I pack it all into a zipped up THULE case. I use my Remarkable2 every day… And to be fair, I do the same for my iPad Pro as well.

Belt and braces, I do exactly the same Michael. I really missed my rM2 when it broke (took me 6 months to get around to taking apart which only took a few hours) and the iPad Pro just couldn’t provide the notebook experience of paper. I’ll be reviewing another EMR pen soon if you are interested.

I'm facing the same problem. £500+ for a device that can't even hold onto its own pen. The fact you/we have to buy extra stuff says it all. Shoddy

What are you calling that, pen pouch for what? How did you find it on Amazon?

Hi @Gary Hamilton, the pen pouch is simply a holder for the Marker you write with on your reMarkable, so instead of relying on the magnet securing the marker you secure in the pouch instead. Search for “pen pouch journal” on Amazon, lots of options to choose from. Have fun.
