Very good talk Prof Sachs... I cannot agree with you more... especially your concluding remarks about how China should handle the provocation by the US and its allies...patiently, peacefully and focus on its goals and not be distracted by the "noises." My view is that as the "Shining Light on the Hill"(US is no longer the leader it used to be) is dimming, there is now a "candlelight in the darkness shinning brighter and brighter..."(China)

You said the following *_how China should handle the provocation by the US and its allies...patiently, peacefully and focus on its goals and not be distracted by the "noises."_* And I want to ask you this ---- What do you think China would do if US and its allies *START ATTACKING CHINA MILITARILY* ? Do you still want China to stay still, to be, as you stated, *_patiently, peacefully_* while US, Europe, India and Japan are dropping bombs and killing Chinese all over China ? You want China to die ?

Thank you Professor for presenting such complex issue in a logical and impartial manner - China just focus on what you are doing currently and ignore all those efforts by America and its stooges to demonise you on matters relating to Xinjiang. Three cheers to your long term success and Professor’ talk 👏👏👏👍👍👍

Thankyou Professor Sachs for your global view and your drive for sustainability. You renew my faith in what could be achieved with cooperation and some of the better aspects of human nature. The acrid onslaught mainly by the western media is nasty, petty and destructive and will intrude on sensible handling of global problems.

I think in fairness, if China were to achieve net zero GHG emissions by 2050, the US, Canada, Australia, UK and EU should each commit to achieving net zero GHG emissions by 2040.
