Žao mi je što ovakve pesme više ne prolaze na Evroviziji. Na maternjem jeziku, sa tradicionalnim instrumentima i kulturom te zemlje. Lane moje se i posle 17 godina sluša na radijima i van Srbije i Crne Gore, što samo pokazuje kakav je uticaj ova pesma ostvarila, pa čak veći i od samog pobednika. Željko, svaka čast!

This one is still today in my daily playlist. Great song. Here in Portugal we distinguish 'canção' and 'música'. I can say that this one is not simply a 'música' but an excelent 'canção'.

Yes we do, but it's the same distinction as in English with "song" and "music" - it's not about subjective qualities, or to distinguish "superior" songs from allegedly inferior ones. "Canção" (en: "song") simply means music with a (sung) lyrical composition, while "música" (en: "music") refers to the organization of sounds to create or express a certain experience (hence, it's "Festival da Canção", not "Festival da Música" ;) ) ; although in Portugal some people use these words as synonyms it's an incorrect association nonetheless.

Jessica, the use that people make of the words of a language is, in the end, what's meaningful. And, with time, those words have absorbed those meanings, althought they are not transponded to the dictionaries. If you say to anyone: That music is not a true song, he/she will understand what you mean

Lane Moje is especially haunting and beautiful--a worthy beginning of a legend here at Eurovision. While some parts of the song seem quite cold, there's a graceful and delicate build, with wonderful instrumentation accompanied throughout. A sense of melancholy persists throughout the three minutes, but it's still an experience to behold, and one which doesn't let go easily. While Wild Dances will continue to be a deserved winner, Lane Moje grabs onto me more, and remains an evergreen classic. Hvala ti i voljim te!

This song has changed Eurovision. It is very noticeable that after 2004 the songs have been far more involved and much higher in quality. Zeljko set the bar. Unfortunately last few years Eurovision is back to its decadent years including Serbia, whose representative in 2022 deconstructed everything that Zeljko brought back, If Serbia's influence remains, after 2022 Eurovision will become more of a performance, theatre than song, much more of a vaudeville than before. Some will like, I will not. I want more good songs.
