I thought it was a bit odd too that they included the 3 blade blaster variants with this figure. But thinking about, I think they made it a nod to the second part of the ‘Return of an old friend’ story. If you look closely at the Green Ranger’s holster, you’ll see they put a blade blaster in there. Story wise, I’d say they did it to give Tommy a weapon since Goldar had the Dragon Dagger at the time

I am sorry but I cannot agree with your statement that the marketing strategy is good for not including the shield with the its original owner. This is terrible strategy its forcing you to get on more figure when you realistically don't need it. Alot of people just wanted the green one, but its not complete. They could have included the dragon shiled with the green with this option to swap it between rangers, or just have red and black with the added separate dragon shiled, that would be much cooler. This is a shit tactics forcing you to buy.

You can think it's a bad way of selling the item but you have to look at it from a business side rather than a fan side, They want you to buy the product, they know you won't buy a red ranger because you want the Green Ranger, They are also releasing the loosing his powers green ranger so it's a normal figure, That figure is complete as it was in the series where Tommy lost his powers and he passed it onto Jason last second, They could of given Zack the shield but they already did that figure years ago, This was the remastered line so they wanted to do the one thing they hadn't released in years which was Red with the Dragon Shield, but again from a business side it made them money and that's what they want more than anything

@@Airlim I understand it form a business side, but that doesn't mean its right. Tehnicaly yeah its green ranger losing his powers but actually that's not the case, they know that people want a complete green ranger.

Technically it's right tho for a complete figure, They could of made him lime green to get it more accurate. Hasbro aren't going to think about what's right tho, While I agree it should of come with the shield Hasbro wanted you to buy the Red Ranger, but there are tons of the Green Ranger normal figure out there and they are more accurate then the remastered one. They know they would of sold some of the Red Rangers but then adding the shield with him made people buy both, If you want a full Shield Red Ranger you had to buy Green for the Dragon Dagger, Want Green then buy red for the Shield.

@@Airlim See this is were i can not agree, they didn't make him lime green because they knew it would impact sales, if they meant this to be a complete figure then they would offer red ranger without the removable dragon shiled, the dragon shield wouldn't be removable like on the original lightning collection green ranger. As much as I understand their business model, that doesn't make it right and its clear that they used a terrible tactick in order to boost their sale.
