My dude! Please please share the final mix of the tape for download!!! Ive started recording all my old tapes from the 90s and sharing with friends from the rave days

I did this one for a friend and I'm not sure if it ever got posted anywhere, he just wanted it for his own collection/preservation. But...I'll check with him and either way probably can get a link up for it! It's an amazing early to mid 90's triphop/downtempo mix. 😁

question, im remastering one of my old songs and its just terrible. Really loud, a whole lot of reverb. what would be a simple approach to this ?

Try throwing on some hard compression with fast attack & release settings, that should reduce some of the reverb and overall volume. There's also plug-ins out there to specifically remove reverb, never tried 'em myself. Could also try the X-noise plug-in I talk about at around 2 minutes, that's really good for isolating and removing "noise" in your track.

@@whrecordings thanks man ! im going to take a look into those and yeah I ended up following what you did taking notes from what you said and applied them accordingly to what I was doing but now you put it in perspective.

@@kalithevagabond246 Yw! Keep in mind that what I did on this is the opposite of what your trying to do in a way (boosting a very quiet recording), but the noise reduction and compression aspects can still apply. Good luck!
