I picked it up for $3.50 with all dlc the other day after seeing the shit state of the new saints row lol. It's actually pretty fun, just repetitive, but at least it works, is unique, and actually has fun to be had with the team builds in combat. It's by no means great, but for $3.50, it's fun lol. It's certainly better than saints row 2022 lol.

This guy just tries way too hard to shit at this game, it seems ironic that he constantly bashes the game's wacky, b-class humor (which has been around since Saints Row) all the while throwing stupid 200IQ-type jokes "hueehuee muhhh writting bad hueeehe tlou goty". Like, dude, what did you expect from a SR kinda spin off? The over-the-top humor is there for a reason, it's made on purpose. I clicked this video thinking it was going to at least try to analyze why the game flopped (sales and review-wise), but instead it's just another insufferable stand up wannabe who seems to expect a laugh track at the end of his "jokes".

Honestly though, this game was pretty damn fun. It's biggest strong suits was definitely the variety of agents you could play as. But i will agree that volition %100 fucked up the marketing of this game, people were so confused whether or not this was a saints row game. Not to mention this game did have a terrible launch being practically broken. The game itself also had flaws like bland side activities and the lack of co-op. Seriously Co-op could've been fun as hell in this game. Unfortunately, while I personally think this game was fun, I do believe it was a huge missed opportunity to actually be a good game.

It is but it isn't. It's the alternate timeline created at the end of gat out of hell. The saints row characters in this game new timeline versions of themselves, all of whom have nearly identical personalities and stuff. Gat even has a few lines about vague memories of various things from saints row. The ninja agent actually implies she's aware of the previous time line.

The open world aspects failed this game, as in the lack of them. The GI Joe parody story, the great characters, and the honestly interesting and well crafted gameplay of each character were great. The soulless overworld and limited side missions did it in. I got 60 hours out of it, though, so not too bad.

Because they are. I've been a Saints Row fan since 2006 when the first game released. I do not like the direction they went in with 3 and 4 and I regard SR2 as the peak of the franchise. But I can still put my own bias aside and acknowledge that 3 and 4 are fun games to play and enjoy them for what they are. I would never call them "bad" games whereas a lot of old SR fans would because they felt alienated by those games.

Played this a year or two back after getting it for like... a dollar on sale. Played maybe a couple dozen hours, didn't finish it. My verdict? It's competent across the board. But it doesn't do any single thing well. Everything is just... fine. It's not a bad game by any means. But it falls just shy of being good. It felt like a well developed game based on a half baked design document. On a surface level, it all works. But the moment you dig a little deeper, you realize the game is doing the bare minimum to be entertaining and while the general experience is perfectly fine, there's absolutely nothing to give it longevity or replayability and all it has are gimmicks that lose their appeal rapidly. There's a clear through line in Volition's progression from SRIV/GooH to the Saints Row reboot, and Agents of Mayhem is a perfect halfway marker. As much as those former titles are crucified, they did plenty right. Agents of Mayhem does far less right, but also fails to establish anything different that might capture new players or convinced lapsed Saints Row fans to check out. It's just a complete nothingburger and it shows that leadership at Volition lacked the awareness to understand their position and what they needed to do to achieve success again following the botched reception to SRIV.

There's a fun exploit where you can call down a giant laser beam from space. It says the duration is 30 seconds, and the cooldown is 5 seconds. I think they got the numbers mixed up because it's just instant damage with virtually no cooldown.

This game was Good and bad, majority bad tho The good - the variety in gameplay styles (agents) - the cartoony yet clean graphics - the mechanics and driving mechanics - unlockables (in terms of unlockable skins) The bad - open world was bland with little to no idle npc's, the enemy variety was small also - the story was just basic asf - the gameplay and activities were beyond repetitive - the lack.of multiplayer for a game that gave off multiplayer vibes - the villains were bad - the direction for this game was just all over the place
