The thing with celebrities, is that people won't recognize them because they don't expect them. They'll be like, "hey, they kinda look like *fill in blank*" but they will just think "nah, it can't be."
@elsie87573 жыл бұрын
Yeah, especially if the celebrity is actively presenting themselves as someone else. If I was at a restaurant in New York City, and I saw someone at a table who looked like... I dunno, Reeve Carney, I'd think to myself "Oh my gosh, is that Reeve Carney??" But if I was at my local movie theater and I saw Reeve Carney, I would most likely conclude that it's not Reeve Carney, just someone who looks like him. Even if I decided to go up to him and ask if he really was Reeve Carney, if he _then_ said "Actually my name is Jake, but I get told I look like Reeve Carny a lot", I would almost certainly believe him. I would not conclude that this guy is lying to me and that I'm actually on a celebrity prank show.

about the whole "not recognizing your idol" thing- it's actually pretty common for celebrities to go unrecognized when in public if they change their mannerisms and style a little bit. Apparently michael jackson used to change his hair, put on a different hat, and change his mannerisms a little and would go out in public completely unrecognized. besides, how many times have you seen a stranger and thought "wow, they look just like [celebrity]" and then not gone up to talk to them? sometimes people ignore their intuition because it would be really really embarrassing if they were wrong.

Idk, I, for one, am terrible with faces. Sometimes I would pass my students in the hall / on the street and completely not recognize them just because I am used to seeing them sitting in the classroom only. I think I am not beyond not recognizing a celebrity if they are in front of me and not behind a screen 😂

I decided to look up Luke (and tried to find other but could only fine Mary, who was actually in Bambi 2) and I’ve decided he’s not a bad actor. His line delivery can be a bit awkward, but he has a lot of potential and I think if he keeps working at his line delivery, he could land bigger roles. bet you didn’t expect a review of someone’s acting skills here.
