@@jjerrodaustin I agree this old engine was great, the animations on the new one sucks. I haven't purchased a new Madden since the PS2 days, the newer models including this one is just a cash grab, no in depth Superstar mode like how it was in the ps2 days, microtransactions, horrible franchise mode, shitty tackling animations, MUT bull crap and limited player usage options. So you telling me if my favorite player is Tyron Smith, I can't use Tyron Smith because I guess they don't consider offensive lineman as a real position? Or dumb armchair football players consider it boring? Yet I could use a Antonio Brown ect or any other 'skill'. The old engine was much better, the animations look horrible they are much heavier and the hit stick is a joke compared to what it used to be. They need to go back and make Madden how it used to be with the in-depth franchise and Superstar mode because this shit is a joke. Madden is a SJW politically correct game now. Just polish the old engine with better graphics and actual commentary. They need to go back and put the magic that was superstar mode back into the MADDEN Franchise, with a better engine, look ect with EVERY POSITION AVAILABLE TO USE. It's overdue and crazy that this shit fest has turned into a microtransaction phenomenon. The superstar mode was amazing yet they completely buried it and half assed the mode, the Longshot bullshit or any thing else they come out with isn't touching the original superstar mode on the old PS2 engine. The player development was better, the face features and muscles look much better and the animations were beautiful. They need to go back to the old PS2 days where everything goes far as injuries and hits, helmets being knocked off ect, and please no fucking scripted shit, I remember the golden days where you can unlock madden cards and cheat cards. Every position matters in madden but the game of football cannot be played without the offensive of lineman in the NFL. I remember back in the day you didn't have to pay anything to unlock anyone they already came in the game. every team from every era all you had to do was probably do a Madden challenge or something but that's all, no money came out of your pockets. I currently still play NCAA 2008 on PS2 and Madden 2008 of course on PS2 where I'm hundred years plus deep in my NCAA franchise with newer memory cards. I create prospects on NCAA and recruit the prospects, I make sure everybody go to the NFL to keep the excitement going. Rinse and repeat ECT. I created a Dynasty in NCAA 2008 using current NCAA teams and 50 created teams, the newer models need to go back to the old formula with updated looks tweaks and different add ons. The skins and body builds look so horrible, I remember seeing Peyton Manning on Madden 2012 look just like Peyton Hillis, he had a neck the size of Brock Lesnars neck. The old engine didn't have that issue, I'm open for discussions to anyone who thinks these things shouldn't be in the newer models, MUT is a cash grab and most of these fake Madden Hipsters don't even care about Superstar Mode. #MakeMaddenGreatAgain

I used to play NCAA football, create a school, play through until my freshmen graduated, and import that NCAA draft class into madden to see how many I could draft, and to find out which of the ones I didn't draft became MONSTERS on other teams! SUPER DOPE!

Frank Thomas I loved it on all madden you had to time it perfectly it made blocking actually fun. I remember doing a superstar mode with a FB. Loved coming in on 3rd and long and cutting a blitzing linebacker

Oh I agree. Whenever I play franchise mode, I always go after at least one Fullback each season. It's also a great position if you have a utilityman, because that's a back-up tightend,runningback or wideout if you need it.

This game looked clean on the x box 360 when it came out. It was a big move from madden 6 to madden 7. I had a 300 pound running back 6.8 with 99 speed and break tackle he trucked everybody. Miss the track and bench system to determine your speed for your position and where your parents came from.
