The Darkness 2 was good, but the antagonist just kinda sucked to me. I feel like they could've used Sonatine, the Soverign, or maybe introduced Witchblade to use Kenneth Irons. The third game would've presumably followed fighting the Angelus. I get what they were going for, but Victor Valente was a worse version of Sonatine and enemies using dollar store versions of your powers was just meh. That said, the genius of the artifacts page and the expert's commentary is truly unforgettable.

I love The Darkness, it was so edgy and so fun, I would juggle peoples in the air with the tentacle! I've made a few friends play it, they loved it too and kept saying "In this game, YOU'RE the monster". I remember, back in september 2007, I saw this game's box in a video game store, I had no idea what it was and thought the cover looked cool but didn't buy it because it was sold for 60 euros brand new. Not even an hour later, I found it in a flea market for 5 euros, so I immediately bought it, best 5 euros spent!

These games were released while I had no access to any gaming machine, so I never played them. The only reason I remember them at all is because Miracle of Sound did a song based on Darkness 2 called "Binary Divide." Brutal Heavy Metal, brilliantly captured the feeling of the game!
