I can't believe for someone with this much hype that there's so little footage.

Every once in a great while I search youtube for any Lenny Cooke clips and this is the only one I've ever found in years. I wish someone would put a documentary about this guy's career because a lot of kids like him can learn from his story. To me, Lenny Cooke is the ultimate hoop dreams lesson. His name should be on the roster of an NBA team today if it weren't for the decisions that were made. Anyway, thanks for the footage and I hope he is doing good for himself wherever he is.

i will always remember lenny cooke the high school phenom always did good in the camps but didnt have it academically and made some poor life choices. Today NBA would have Cooke's name among the superstars of the league if it weren't for selfish people telling him the wrong advice only looking out for themselves.. i really wished he made it out to anything more then semi-pro bball.. Slam Magazine did a nice article on him some 2-3 years ago. I wish him the best..

Wow, I was his next door neighbor in Old Tappan and had no clue that this kid was the phenom he was back then until years later. I wish he somehow could have had something/someone put him on the right path. I know the Bortner family, with whom he lived, was of means and well educated so just can't imagine how/why he ended up on the wrong path. I truly feel bad for him.

Im always searching for clips on Cooke. So far, in my years of searching, this is the only one. This guy should be in the league right now, it's just the decisions he made eventually got him. Hopefully he's doing good for himself nowdays. But damn, Lenny Cooke should be in the league.

Funny thing is this really is isn't "found footage" it's just pieces of one larger video that I had. Wish they would have used it in his documentary.

earl manigilt...raymond Lewis...ronnie fields ...les Carson...lenny cooke..just another wasted prodigy from the hoop dream superstar aspiration....becsuse there is no management to guide these players or just their weak characters not to follow advisors..they end up living a life of regret of unfulfilled promise...their are more storys like this across the usa inner city hoops landscape...with more to come

I haven't heard of the name Lenny Cooke before until I read it from a NBA column a few days ago. Read several news article about him, read some stories, then searched his name on youtube and found this video. Not that I am saying anything bad but I think I could get a feel why he was not drafted in 58 tries. I don't even want to put it in words now. And you can disagree.
