Calvin Douglas Banks, Jr., better known as Doug Banks, was an American radio personality and host of The Doug Banks Radio Show. I took a moment during my morning show to pay my honor and respects to the opportunity he gave me and legacy he left behind.

Steve Harvey and Doug banks were my favorite DJs to listen to in the morning. They always help me start my day right when it was time for me to go to school. Steve Harvey, you are right radio isn’t the same anymore. Yes, Doug banks left a huge footprint behind. You have no idea how much you guys have inspired me throughout the years. I was actually listening to the Doug banks show that Friday afternoon. Who would have thought that Monday morning he wouldn’t be here? Our IP Doug banks.

Worked with Doug at ABC Radio Networks Dallas..always friendly, never talked down to anyone, and could talk about anything from jokes to serious issues but again, open and honest. It was only 2 years that I worked there but it had a profound effect on me and I treasure the time I worked there with Doug and proudly call him a friend and brother in radio...

This is Steve best attributes he has a great skill at capturing the audience by simply being honest and transparent and with that he able to inform/influence and inspire… I’m from Chicago and I remember when Doug was on wgci then he branched out to v103 with Joyner

I remember when Doug Banks Hosted a trip to Aruba over 10 years ago. He was so down to earth and hearty...and cheerful. That's where I saw Kevin Hart; just as silly as he is today! It was such a memorable trip. R.I.P. Doug.

I listen to a lot of radio. Heard lots of disk jockeys. I can't tell you what they look like. But Doug Banks I knew what he looked like. His voice rang a bell in my head anytime I heard him I put a face to it . His tv commercials caught my attention because of his voice n personality. So sad. Many years listening to him. He'll be deeply missed. Oh! And Steve.. You Your a good radio personality. But you ain't no Doug Banks bro. You funny but.. I rather listen to Irene Mamacita Mojica. I miss her too.

Man I was so *entirely* pissed off when this show took over _Doug Banks in The Morning_ here in Nashville. I even remember Steve responding to numerous hate mails live on air lol. Doug, Dee Dee, and Rudy literally used to have me swerving all over the road laughing though *every* morning. TSHMS just can't me laugh like they used to but it is what it is. Actually, for 10 years or so now, I was *still* salty about the change in programming until hearing these words from Mr. Steve Harvey. *Rest in Paradise Doug Banks*
