Remembering Gene Kelly - A tribute

This is a tribute to the wonderful Mr. Kelly. Today it's 15 years since he passed away and I know that we all miss him very much, but just like Liza Minnelli I think that he is the only man who can make me smile when it's raining outside.
I don't own anything in this video, just for entertaining!

A very touching tribute to the amazing Gene Kelly. A brilliant all round performer. Dancer, Actor, Singer, Choreographer, and Director! Gene had such a beautiful smile that reached up to his eyes. He was very versatile and could play many different roles. A lovely man inside and outside. Still missing you Gene and you will never be forgotten. 🌹🌹🌹

Gene Kelly was a huge star in his day, but he has more fans all around the world now than he did then because he went to great pains to make certain his works were always relevant to the human condition and, therefore, timeless. Kelly was one of the most important artists of the 20th Century and his place in history grows more important with each new generation.

This is the most wonderful tribute Eugene Curran Kelly I have seen. I have read his biography 5 times and I know every movie of his by heart. But my breath never ceases to get lost when I see his eyes twinkle as he flashes his heart-warming smile.

I understand what you mean about the song, but to this tribute I wanted a little bit more slow and sad song since I missed him terribly much this day. I just wish I was born in another era...in an era when all our oldies still were with us and active. I would have done anything just to meet Gene, to shake his hand and tell him how amazing he is... I just wish they all could come back and kick Justin Bieber to another planet! ;D

This was a wonderful tribute to Gene; I love it! I especially love the quotes from his family & co-stars; that was well done & was an added special touch. I nearly fell off my chair looking at the opening picture(man, those dark brown eyes & smile really get me every time!) Although the music is very nice, I would have changed the tempo just a bit . Kelly was an athletic, vibrant man which truly reflected in his acting & dancing. Otherwise, well done! RIP GCK!

@860313 It's true. Once you've seen Gene Kelly in action, you feel like you have to watch every movie of his, but it's never enough. Hahahaha. I don't remember who wrote it exactly. I checked it out from my local library. It was called: Gene Kelly: A Life of Dance and Dreams, by Alvin Yudkoff I believe. It's a truly great read. There's a lot of comedy in it, such as Gene fist fighting with the neighborhood boys on his way to dancing lessons with the other Kelly's. It's great for any Gene lover.

I met Gene Kelly at the Garden State Arts Cener in 1985 or 6. I joined him on stage, presented him with roses, got a kiss, a twirl, and later, an autograph on his picture which I had brought with me- the cover of the book, “Gene Kelly: Song and Dance Man.” It is framed and still hangs in my hallway. I had my first crush on him when, as a child, I saw him in “Marjorie Morningstar” and asked my mom who he was. She correctly said she thought I had my first crush. I still do. Meeting him was the most exciting, exhilarating thing that has ever happened to me!
