Oh no…. I saw him in concert had front row seat. He came up to me and shook my hand several times along with the other members. He was such a nice man the whole group was and they played their number one hit songs! They ended the concert singing “Elvira.” In fact we were the last ones out because we were so close to the stage I was able to set my phone up on the stage while I was dancing and swaying back & forth to their music! They came out after the concert & talked to us the lead singer to Exile who is best know for the hit song "I Want To Kiss You All Over" is married to the lead singer of The Oak Ridge Boys so we also got their autograph! I was so close I got great pictures too! What a great loss to Classic Country Music. It seems like we are losing all the Great Ones.Awe....now this really makes me cry as it was stated about Joe Bonsall "But JESUS and his family always came first-and we will see him again on the Promised Day.” Believe me I saw him in concert up close you could "see" Jesus in him! You really could!

My heart is breaking. The Oaks have been a favorite group of mine for so many years, and Joe was the spark in the act. Great tenor, fabulous personality, and such a kind man. He and his family kept his ALS private, which was certainly their right. Fans just weren’t aware of the severity of his disease. I know the Oak RidgeBoys are headed toward retiring. Duane lost his wife and William Lee lost his son, both tragedies were very recently. I think the Oaks have given us so many years of joy, great songs and wonderful concerts. They are entitled to take time for themselves and families. I’m glad Joe is out of his pain, my prayers are with his family. I’ll miss him so very much. I treasure all my concert memories, and am grateful I never got rid of my vinyl albums. I’ll never stop listening to The Oak Ridge Boys. R.I.P., Sweet Joe. 😢💔
