I like your videos and the Bible project videos. They have all opened my eyes to different perspectives and understanding of Christianity. They all resonate and that's great. But this talk. Wow. Just... Thank you.

Remember. So many things in OT point to Jesus. Its all about Him. The story of Namaan is a fore-shadow of Gods simplicity in Christ and how we as prideful human beings want a different-way and think our Works need to contribute to salvation. This is why so many people mock the real gospel because they want to sneak their own understanding and works/deeds into salvation as opposed to accepting that Jesus did it all in a one-time-event. The real gospel is an offence to people because the gospel says there is nothing you can do to be saved but believe that Jesus did it all by himself. People love works and end up relying on them for salvation. People clean up their life by themselves and say Look what I did to deserve righteousness. Never add your works to Jesus’ work. Many like to add discipleship to salvation. Salvation is an event and discipleship is the walk as a saved person After you are saved. Namaan in his pride wanted a spectacular work to save him. Not just that dirty Jordan. The Jordan was too simple for him. Pride. Namaan expected Elisha himself to come and not a mere servant. Namaan was furious. He wanted special treatment and thought the other rivers were superior to the Jordan (own-understanding). A servant with a simple message was not good enough for him. It shows you how simple salvation is ….. but people actually expect deeds to save them. Wrong. The seven dips in the water is not that we should try and try again to get it right. Seven is the number of perfection and does not represent ENDLESS attempts of works. So don’t try and try again to be saved..... as salvation can only be a one time simple event which qualifies you (Gods Gift). Simple and the same way for all, no matter if you are a great general or a suffering beggar. Don’t put yourself in bondage of your own works. Be secure in the simplicity of Christ and salvation. Unfortunately people wont accept salvation through Grace even though it is written……. Epph 2 8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. All Glory to God...........

I totally love this. Our experience with Yahweh, our lives as Christians, is all Christ.

You know what, I'm from LA but I just moved and started attending Door of Hope. It's amazing, but I remember when I was just starting college in 2007, I remembered a girl who left my church to go to Portland for architectural school would cry when she came back to LA because there were no good churches in Portland, or at least couldn't find any. Too bad this was after her time going to school there.
