First. Edit: Made a mistake at 7:57. I state the Sauropod Vertebrae Picture of the Week blog listed a weight of 50 US tons, or about 45.35 metric tons, but the onscreen text says 50,000kg, which is 55.11 US tons.

Alamosaurus is slowly gaining a fanbase in the palaeontology community because it’s damn awesome. Their growth rate is just crazy and so much more can be learnt about these titanic creatures, great vid!

Thank mate. I'd say this is my best video yet in terms of research I did. If you want to learn more about the specimens found, I recommend checking out the three-part series on the Equatorial Minnesota blog. Alamosaurus is probably my favorite sauropod. I don't know why, I just like the way it looks. The first time I've seen this animal was in Dinosaur Train and I like the idea that it was a south american refugee
@CalvinTheCarnotaurus Жыл бұрын
Tbh I've been wanting to cover it for a bit since I felt like the refugee deserved some love. Alamosaurus seems underrated to me.

Remember the Alamo(saurus). Also, Alamosaurus is secretly the Red Baron, you've all been bamboozled.

It is possible that almosaurus was an Asian immigrant just like tarbosaurs when migrated to North America evolved into rex. And since tarbosaurus and Tyrannosaurus rex are sauropod hunters, it would make sense.

The largest land, animal in North America, and it coexisted with Tyrannosaurus rex not in Hell Creek though at least not yet

By the looks of it. Or at least ones who make GDI (can't remember what it stands for) estimates of dinosaur sizes. You get quite a few of those types on there from what I've seen.
