I've been watching or attending or participating for over 50 years and this year's service and show was very WELL DONE. Although it was a pity we couldn't participate or attend, those involved did a good job. Cam Cathcart was terrific under the circumstances keeping us watching with well spoken words and I look forward to returning next year. It was amusing to see my old Regiment, the 15th Field, firing their guns right at a False Creek park instead of Waterfront Park which no doubt alerted many less interested people that this and always will be a special day. Finally it was very emotional and encouraging to listen to the interview with Captain Trevor Greene whose rehabilitation for his devastating injury is being watched around the world. The night before he left for Afghanistan and the monstrous attack on him we had a deep conversation about what he and his comrades were getting into. He is an inspiration to all of us during our own times of struggle.
