Interestingly pigeons were dropped in canisters from parachutes to troops in forward trenches or outlying posts with a small amount of corn and small note paper so they would be released and fly back with enemy information

Thank you for sharing the tribute ,to all we have lost in the wars . The horses are so good . I have a set of poppys my mum made me one is red and the othere is purple .when I was younger my friends and would put poppys on are horses bridle. And ride to the memorial in the nearest village and stand for 2min in respect . Hopefully you will understand how we all felt .take care and all the best .👍👍👍👍
